Trembucker vs. regular spaced

I have a Duncan Custom in the bridge pos. of a Floyd equipped guitar. I'd like to put a Trembucker version of it in. Do they sound any different?

Re: Trembucker vs. regular spaced

Apparently it makes hardly any difference...and that which it does make is negligable.

I have a trembucker in a floyd equipped jackson and the pole pieces don't line up properly anyway!

Re: Trembucker vs. regular spaced

I haven't noticed any problems. On one axe I have an F-spaced neck pickup that's too big and on another guitar I have a regular humbucker with an ofr bridge.

I haven't noticed a significant difference either. If you feel that your E strings are lower in volume just slightly raise those polepieces.

Re: Trembucker vs. regular spaced

Lately I have been using regular spacing and it works fine. I am turning into one of those people who actually feels the regular sized ones have better tone than the much larger trembuckers. They won't align as perfectly as a trembucker, but I believe the regular ones sound as they should BY DESIGN.

Re: Trembucker vs. regular spaced

Does anyone know what year trem-spaced pickups were introduced?
