I have to agree with Rid. Tweeds are plug and play amps with simple, direct circuits. EQ is defeating the purpose of using a tweed amp.
learn how to use the controls, how they interact, and how to jump channels for different tones.
We do have some seriously focused young men on this site. I too wish I had that kind of laser-like focus on tone etc when I was younger. I wasn't allowed a guitar until I was old enough to earn and buy one myself. Still wish I was that smart starting out...
--I tell ya, for a 15 yearold you sure are focused as to what you want-that amp ia amazing & will be with ya til death(a long time)--if yer smart...sounds like you are.
I wish I had that insight when I was 15, I was too busy riding bmx bicycles & doin dum****!!
As for the pedals, Im just starting to get used to the amp and experimenting with it. It's not such a crime to put an OD in fron tof the tweed amp WHEN YOU FIRST BUY IT. And besides, I might want that extra overdrive via pedal so I dont have windows breaking and furniture falling over :smack: I'm not going to say, "UP ITS A TWEED AMP TIME TO THROW AWAY ALL MY PEDALS." No, you ****en try them and experiment with them, thats how people get their sound. And I think that they sound pretty good with the amp because the amp is so transparent.
