two bridge models in HH??

I'm putting two patb-3s in a HH guitar ....don't try to talk me out of it...one is coming out of the neck pos of a HSH guitar I'm selling and the other is new replacing a patb-1 .

I seem to remember reading somewhere that I need to wire one of the two black and green together and use the red and white instead to change the phase or turn the neck pup upside down????? to get them to cooperate in the #2 selector pos???

Help!!

Re: two bridge models in HH??

I have 2 Full Shred bridge HB's in my Jackson...and I just wired them up per the SD diagram...both facing so you can read the logo's.

The middle position is killer...and very useable...

Re: two bridge models in HH??

Just wire them normally and you will be good. BTW, I wouldnt mind trying 2 PATB-3's myself. I love the bridge and I love FAT as hell neck pickups. Hmmm.....

Re: two bridge models in HH??

thanks for the replies....The patb-3 is my favorite pup. Sometimes I feel it is a bit boomy in the neck due to the scooped mids but I find myself playing it there alot.

I had thought of making a bass cut circuit for it similar to a demud mod and posted on it about a month ago....got no replies...

I have the Patb-3 in the bridge of the guitar in my avatar too...I had that guitar put up and got it out a couple of weeks ago...I almost cried when I plugged it in, it sounded that good.....

Re: two bridge models in HH??

YES, DO IT! That pickup is a great neck AND bridge pickup. I haven't tried them together, but using the same pickup in both positions certainly isn't a new concept, right?...

Re: two bridge models in HH??

Its going to happen ...foreward movement last night....
I started taking the invaders out of the guitar that the patbs are going in...they are going in the HSH guitar that I sold that currently has the patb-3 in the neck...I'm going to miss the QP flat in the mid pos in that guitar.

the invaders weren't for me too much low mid .....I did kinda like the neck model as a bridge pos pup. however the bridge model was too lower middy and wiring it in parallel cut the crunch off of the highs...the only reason I would have a ceramic pup.
