UK bros: recommend me a tech/luthier.

I've got some bits from Warmoth that need putting together, along with some very basic routing, wiring, general setup, and fret dressing, etc.

I've tried a few guys local to me (Swansea) and as far as Bristol. All of them have been completely unprofessional and I've had nothing but bad experiences so far.

One guy had my guitar for a year with no contact from him, then when I got the guitar back some of the work was not as agreed and some was not done at all. Another guy I used would quote one price and then the actual price would be 50% higher without any prior warning, and he was always late too. Another was just unskilled.

I don't want to name names here, but will do so via PM.

If there's someone you can rely on, then recommend them to me. I don't mind travelling because I honestly think I've run out of local talent.

Have you tried Rob Williams I believe he is in Wales? Also, if you don't mind sending the guitar off Try H.J.Williams Guitars.... I believe Haydn used to work for a custom bass builder but his work looks very good.

Also, is H.J. Williams the guy in Manchester? If so then he was going to be where I'd go if i didn't have any other suggestions. Was thinking of making the trip up there though because posting a guitar sounds like a lot of hassle.

HJ Williams is in Cumbria. I believe Rob Williams is in Newtown.

There's also Eltham Jones, who's kind of local to you (if you haven't tried him yet): http://www.edgeguitarservices.co.uk. He used to be a regular on here, and has posted threads of various repairs and mods in years past.
