lismet - you can turn those inlays white by carefully letting them lay in the sun....do a search.

I posted my Class 5 in this thread once, but deleted it because I thought you were only looking for regular production guitars (Standard/Custom/Studio/Deluxe) and not Custom shop pieces.....should I post it or???

My humble submission, a 73 Custom, which currently sports a set of Ibanez Super 70s and the gold on the replacement hardware has since aged, nicely. I need a new pic. Maybe I can get one, today.

Shameless plug I know, but here's my 2, not the best photo's but I love'em.... Page model and '57 R.I. I will add that we all just last weekend travelled from the West Midlands UK to a place in Scotland, 40 miles north of Aberdeen... so 474 miles both ways. It was a nine hour drive to do a Motorcycle club gig... tiring but awesome and my rig was rockin'!

I really should take some new pics of this guitar, but there's no time so here are the old ones again.

1991 Gibson Les Paul Classic. Honeyburst with some birdseye stuff going on. It has the narrow headstock with "Les Paul Model" on it, ABR-1 bridge, nickel hardware, thin binding in the cutaway. (Later 90s Classics had the wider headstock with "Les Paul Classic" and 90s-style hardware, allegedly to prevent them being faked as historic RI models).

I bought it on eBay in 2004. The Gibson manual that came with it is in Japanese, so I assume the guitar was originally sold in Japan. A previous owner replaced the original ceramic pickups with '57 Classics. I didn't get on with those and tried several other humbuckers before stumbling on a set of Tonerider AC4s. I love Seymour Duncans, and a PG set (as seen in one of the pics) were a very close second but the minute I heard the AC4s I knew they were made for this axe.
