I read somewhere that the Roman black backed pickups are actually just a standard duncan model (I think it was one of the customs) dipped in black paint. I dont think this is true because the guy seemed like he had a beef with Ed Roman guitars. Plus, I may have read this on harmony central, I dont remember exactly though.
