King Diamond I havent heard much of.

Pretty Maids was actually formed 6 monthts or so after Mercyful Fate, sorry for that one. Pretty Maids has been very influential on Danish metal, and in the Aarhus Death metal scene, I would be fairly confident to say, that they have been more influential than MF. But I might have been wrong? I never paid much attention to MF really, in the "big picture" Pretty Maids is still the strongest going of the two, up here at least that is

I really like SD/PAFpro combo. I dont like split humbuckers, so I havent tried that. I also dont have push-pull pots in it, so no parallel yet either.

I really like the fat warm sound of the SD. Total NWOBHM sound. PAF Pro sounds very Slash like actually, big fat and smooth

Ok. I obviously can't know about the danish scene that much and Pretty Maids was a pretty big band by our standards. I've heard lots of mentions to MF from old school black and death metal bands from all over scandinavia. I really like MF, it actually was my favourite band when I was your age! It's a pity it's relatively unknown on the net as they had good guitar playing and good tones as well.

Let me know what you think of the pickups if you ever try them split or parallel. I really liked the split tones that my SG with Tone Zone / PAF Pro had. I'd like to have such with my Tokai too.

Who is your favorite character(book, movie, anywhere-does not have to be comic related)

I think you're a tremendously lucky guy to have a killer player like Rid teach you things on the guitar. What would you say is the most useful thing you have learned from him. As a follow up what is the most important non gear/music related thing you have learned from him.

One superpower?? Hmm, the ability to heal other peoples illnesses i.e. cancer etc.

Favorite character? Well Bruce Willis character as Joe Hallenbeck in "The Last Boy Scout" always was a cool character and probably my favorite Him or Mike Strutter.

Rid doesent teach me guitar stuff as such. He has introduced me to alot of stuff, and I had never heard of Accept or Randy Rhoads before I he showed me their stuff. Also, just from watching him play, I have learnt to combine speed with melody. He has a very melodic guitarstyle, and I hope that someday as well

The most important non-music thing... To be yourself, stand up for what you believe in and not letting other people step on you. I was very afraid of standing up for myself when I was 15-16. These days I am alot better to say enough etc, alot of it I owe to him and Jolly

Dont odie and you have some "business" to attend to?

I am quite good at knife/sword fight/combat technique, but I have never tried swallowing one
