velcro tape separating from pedal - suggestions?

Re: velcro tape separating from pedal - suggestions?

I had the same problem in that my pedals were TOO secure, I cleaned them up and used less velcroe... just a strip at the top and bottom instead of all over the base.

I use these industrial velcro 'coins' at work, and started using them on the bottoms of the pedals. The adhesive is really strong. If for any reason it's not strong enough, I've got my can of carpet seaming glue. Works like a charm. I could turn my pedalboard over and shake it, and nothing will come loose.

Who needs glue?!!!!

I cut four pieces of 3/4- to 1" squares of velcro and then punch a tiny hole in the center of them. I remove the screws from the pedal, insert the screws into the velcro and screw each piece back into the pedal.

No glue needed. They stay on the pedalboard until I want them to come off.

Bill. That's a great idea. I tried it today and I think i have finally found the best solution for attaching my pedals to my board. Thanks for your suggestion.

It would probably help to put a small washer under the screw to make sure the velcro doesn't just pull over the screw head when you need to reposition a stompbox.

But this sounds like a great, easy idea.
