versatile pickups for Schecter C-1

Hi guys. I have a Schecter C-1 - I bought the guitar from LA, CA in the year 2000, and I didn't know much then so I am not quite sure of all the specs but anyway.
Guitar specs:
Maple neck, bolt on to a mahogany body (I think it is mahogany but might be basswood as well - not sure).
Rosewood fingerboard, strings through body, TOM bridge.
One volume, one tone, three way toggle switch.
Two humbuckers, Duncan Designed HB-103 (ceramic magnets hight output - the analog of SD Distortion SH6).
I am not happy with those pickups that much. Right now I have a set of SD SH1 '59 - bridge and neck. Do you think those will handle heavy stuff well (with effects pedals) if I put them in this guitar and still be good for classic rock as well.

Hmmm, it'd be nice to really get a handle on what model of guitar you've got. All schecter c1s are all mahogany. Do you have an "omen"? If you already have the 59s, put em in! The neck is perfection. The bridge will probably be good enough for your heavy stuff as well. I prefer the custom in the bridge for a little more output, but you should try the 59 first since you have it.

Yeah, I know how it sounds, the '59 set was in my Gibson SG, but that was mahogany set neck, and this one is maple bolt on neck and mahogany body - will they be brighter and stuff.
@ Franknfilms - it is a Schecter C-1 - back then in the year 2000 they had only those two: C-1 and C-1+ (which had a maple cap and Alnico chrome covered pickups). There weren't such models as omen or damien etc.
I bought it brand new from a store so I am sure of that (and the fact that it says C-1 on the truss rod cover)

I'm searching and trying to find that dude who has like 5 or 6 schecters and tons of pickup combos in them. He'll steer you in the right direction I'm sure. Can't remember his name. His signature alone if full of ideas.

FYI- most schecter players on the forum (including myself) are using some form of Custom. Custom 5 and Custom 8 usually. Customs have that perfect output, not quite distortion, not quite paf, every magnet you try sounds good. Very customizable and highly versatile from country to metal.

FYI- most schecter players on the forum (including myself) are using some form of Custom. Custom 5 and Custom 8 usually. Customs have that perfect output, not quite distortion, not quite paf, every magnet you try sounds good. Very customizable and highly versatile from country to metal.

Custom 5 or Custom is awesome in Schecters in the bridge. Jazz, PG, or FS, or even Phat Cat are good neck choices......
