Anyway, what kind of LP was your 2nd guitarist using? Is your Wolfgang-looking guitar a Peavey? or some kind of custom job?

sorry i wasn't too clear...i'm the guy with the les paul...

it's a 57 historic goldtop...plays like a dream!...the other guitar is a peavey wolfgang special that he had painted us like ed's

I dig it-great song and tough to cover well.

I'm glad the singer didn't try to David Lee Roth the vocals with squeals and screeches that only DLR can do.
The drummer was great-not overbearing at all!
The drunk whiteboy dancer was a treat.

The guitar sounded fantastic, although I thought the harmonics were a bit ahead of the rest.

Awesome to see live clips of forum members! :notworthy

thanks dave...the reason the harmonics are off a bit is that both guitarists are doing that part and it doesn't blend well...i hate doing VH with 2 guitars because it never sounds right but...it's only rock and roll

Ha thats funny. I couldn't agree more. Our other guitar player takes a break when we do Hot For Teacher and Eruption, then He'll come back up and do You Really Got me by himself and I'll take a break.

it just doesn't sound the same...he used to take a break on the VH /ozzy stuff we did but he's such a VH freak that he slowly worked himself back in...hehehe...i couldn't say no...he'd be crushed...

I'm lucky in that respect,, my other guitar player is a great backing vocalist and rhtyhm player, but has no desire to do much lead playing. He just flat out told me dude I'm not even gonna ty to play Hot For Teacher, so he doesn't. Good for me, and better for the sound too.

We also do some Ozzy, Bark at the Moon and Flying high again, both of which I think sound good with 2 guitars.

yeah my guy pretty much said the same thing with repect to solos...just wants to play rhythm...he also does good backing vocals...

Looking at your signature... If EVH was GOD, you'd be one of His angels... Man, that was awsome! :headbang:

I really like how your singer can keep his voice fairly clean even at such high volumes... No offence but your drummer doesn't seem to be skilled enough to keep up with the rest of the band... Other than that, all I can say is WOW!

Consider me a fan of "The Gamma Rays" from now on.

thanks for the kind words peterku...funny thing is WE FIRED THE DRUMMER AFTER THAT SHOW ...our old drummer is coming back and we're all happy about that...

yup...if you notice in the video i have him starting off with the drums by himself...i had to do that because everytime we started the song together he would play a different tempo...we rehearsed with our old drummer last sunday and he was rock solid!...so much better!
