Nice. The other guitar player in my band has a '53 also. Too bad about the headstock break, that kills the value!

The necks on those are set at the wrong angle to string it "properly." It's just the way they are.

There's a few different solutions, string it like it is, have the neck reset, or mill the bridge down.

I'm not sure if it is completely original, but I think somebody should make a reissue of this guitar, I'm really diggin how that thing looks.:smokin:

It has some issues with the bridge. Intonation and tuning stability suffered with the old trapeze design. It looks cool though.

They are very uncomfortable to play. The bridge is easily a ½" to high and it puts your hand and wrist in an awkward angle. I Love the way they sound, but I don't like playing them for long!
