Stratoblaster Tone Meister
I plugged my Valvetronix 120 watt head into my Stereo Marshall V30 4x12...tonight.
Now the British tones, especially the Marshall tones, are beefy and the mids are right..The BF 2x12 tones still sound really good, except the tones only project foward and without the spaciousness the open back cab provides, but the tone is clean, tight, and headroomy...LOL The JCM 800 and 900 tones are very convincing through this cabinet..I didn't get a chance to mess with the "Plexi" setting because it got late, but I'll do that tomorrow..
The Vox AC30 tones need the open back cabinet, but the head does sound alot better through the 4x12...
Getting plenty of mids and lows is no problem now with this head..I see the actual matching Vox 2x12 closed back cab in my future once I pay the amp off...
Just wanted to pass this info onto any prospective Valvetronix 60VTH or 120 VTH buyers..
