A few months ago I was going crazy trting to decide what pickups to stick in various guitars since I wasn't happy with any of themin one way or another.

I'm the guy who got the doubleneck off ebay which was a different color, warped necks etc... after a lot of work it's now a great guitar. I wound up taking the Dimarzio super distortions out of my dull sounding 75 LP black beauty and installed antiquities in both positions--WOW!!! After a refret, I feel like I've got a totally new Les Paul for a total of $500. The guitar just came to life with those pickups. They even do metal great. Depending on the mood, I play anything from Zeppelin/Aerosmith to Priest/Sabbath/Rush/Metallica etc... and some modern metal.

My new Epi LP got the Dimarzio's. It sounds exactly like a LP with hotter pickups should, but man does it feedback. It didn't feedback with the original crappy pickups or the SD59 bridge/Dimarzio super II combo. I'll have to dope that one out.

I put the original P-90 back into the neck position of my Epiphone Casino and left the JB in the bridge. This may be the most full, punchy rock/blues sound I have. It's fat. Finally, I also left the JB in the bridge of my 72 LP deluxe. It just sounds too good.

Thanks for all the advice guys & gals. Be checking in later. :smokin:
