Wanting an new phase pedal

I currently use a Boss PH-3, but since moving recently to getting most of my gain from pedals, I have noticed a significant volume drop when I kick the pedal in. So, I'm thinking either the EVH MXR phaser, or an EHX small stone.

Anyone got experience with these? Or any other recommendations?

I'm gonna very highly recommend the EVH phase pedal.

I love its simplicity, but most of all, I dig its tone. Its got a very usable but thick phase sound, exactly what I was looking for. Pressing the Script button gives it a more subtle phase sound, if that what you want....

Give it a try, this is one of my favorite pedals. And the easiest to set up.

Battery access sucks tho. Hope you have some sort of power supply.

Small Stone has a volume drop, try the Nano Stone instead... Also, if you can swing an original Script Phase 90, check one out.

The EHX and MXR sounds are different, check them both out to see which sound you like.

Some other phasers that are really cool are the Red Witch Moon Phaser, the Maxon Rotary Phaser, Subdecay Quasar and HBE Psilocybe.

I have both a Phase 90 and a Small Stone Nano and may be selling both quite soon to buy a HBE Psilocybe.

Phasers and Modulation pedals are about as 'out there' as I get with effects, so if it's anymore extreme than a Phaser, then I don't own it!
