That strat with the tele bridge. How much of the tele bridge tone does it retain .

Actually quite a bit of tele tone is working with both of those guitars. Since the tele pickups are mounted in a copper pickguard, they do not sound like the pickups mounted in the ferrous ashtray style bridges.
