washburn owners??

[XSSIVE]

as i search for the right guitar i keep looking at the washburn x81 face eraser...obviously since it's real new no one has played it yet (that i know of) but what is washburn quality like on there top of the line US made guitars? i've never owned a washburn nor have i played one but this guitar keeps jumping out at me for some reason...and it's getting harder to find the right guitar lol...

It sure is. And I wish I had an answer about the US Washburns, but I can say this much, they sure look good. I believe the lead guitarist from Shadows Fall plays one, and he can really shred.
you'll never know if that's the one until you play it.

the x81 face eraser is the sig model for john from shadows fall...he didn't want his name all over the guitar (thank god) so he named it the face eraser which is on the truss rod cover...very cool and simple/classy looking guitar and i love the no inlay look and that natural finish!!

+1 Natural finish is just awesome.

Thanks for the Shadow's Fall input too, I'm not a big fan, but after seeing 'em live there is not a doubt in my mind that john is a serious guitar player and I have much respect and admiration for him.

Oh yea...and Brisk has a Washburn 335 and Theodie said it is a sweet guitar, Theodie knows his stuff too!

this thing goes for round $1700 so it better be pretty damn good lol...thanks for the input...i didn't think it would be a bad guitar being that it's made in the US washburn custom shop from what i read...but hey, you never know so i figured i'd ask...

It's basically a hardtail version of a Nuno N4 with emg's. If it's like my N4, I would say it's an awesome piece of wood. It's a little bit pricy for what it is though.
