Well, here it is..

Re: Well, here it is..

Go to amazon
Search on guitar necks

They have some real inexpensive ones around $35

Don't expect high craftsmanship

But should be reasonably straight

Expect to add a nut ( tusqXL)
And level the frets

Locking tuners and tusq nut and you shouldn't need a locking nut for a Floyd rose

The only problem with them is they're not the same shape, and any of the ones with a non shaped headstock are like 65$+

But if this one doesn't work, I guess I'll have to get over it..

Re: Well, here it is..

Well you can order a pointy headstock from warmoth or Carvin or several other places

GFS has some

If you order one from Warmoth or Carvin
Go ahead and get the nut and frets you want
While the cost may be higher
Those will probably be ready to mount

Re: Well, here it is..

Looks good man! I'm not trying to insult your intelligence, but you have loosened the truss rod, right? if you've got the rod loose and the guitar is tuned to pitch and you still have backbow then you def have a junk neck. If you leave it for a while you might see the tension pull it straight, but I'd probably replace the neck anyway if it were mine. I'd probably just get a mightymite neck with the fender headstock. The guitar already looks similar to a Charvel star, which originally had fender headstocks. If you don't plan on going trem nuts I'd just get a better quality fender style trem to replace that one. The GFS units are probably all substantial upgrades, just make sure you make the necessary measurements first, I don't know which one you'd need.

The truss rod is loosened completely. :duh: Haha.

But yeah, I'm thinking the neck is past it's prime and needs a replacement..

Yeah, if I'm getting a new bridge anytime soon it's gonna be a GFS strat style trem.

Re: Well, here it is..

You can always get one on eBay from China. You'll have to wait a bit, but there are some cool looking ones out there. I picked up half a dozen Jackson style maple fretboard necks for less than $50 a piece delivered. Just make sure you grab a 22 fret with an overhang and you're good to go.

Did they need fret work? Even I'd spend 50$ if it was going to be a "good" neck!

Thanks man!

:headbang:

Thanks, haha.

Re: Well, here it is..

That looks awesome. Both those guitars look MILES better than how they started...
