This soldering station is variable 5-80 watts controlled but the ad says for hobbyist/stained glass. Does anyone know if this can be used for electronics as well? Thanks.
Yup, the WLC200 can be used for electronics. Although you could get the WLC100 and save a little bit. That's what I have and I use it for everything from wiring up guitars to DIY circuits to pedal mods to fixing my daughter's play necklaces with cut leads (works good, she doesn't care...lol).
IMO, The iron looks too chunky and fat for anything other than the rear of a pot. The long handle doesn't help accuracy either. For these reasons, this iron would be less than optimal for the occasional pedal mod/pedal build as well.
