What a diifference!!!!

I just picked up my Ibanez Artist guitar from the shop. It's a mahogany /maple body - dual humbuckers (very LP like). I replaced the stock pups with an Alinco II in the neck, and a custom-custom in the bridge. Both Pups coil split with push/pull pots.

I've only played it 10 minutes, but HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. Sound is much clearer - I can hear every note perfectly even with mucho distortion - in any combinations.

2. Neck pup - sustains forever.....Beautiful glassy tone - not too dark - very Slash-esque (what I wanted)
3. Bridge - great bite, but not too tinny like the old one. Great for hard rock!

Congrats. That's the pickup combo I'm thinking of for my Epi LP Std.

Another great choice for those who seek that Vintage Classic 335 tone is the Seymour Duncan Seth Lovers,
Those have worked best for that over all the rest here on many occations with my 335 pals!
