At 2m30sec . . . what is he using ?

Yes, i know it is a cell phone :eek13: . . . but does anyone know any cell phone app that can produce this effect ?

Re: What 'app' is he using ?

I'm guessing it's the Korg Kaos Pad app. Wait, that's Kaoss Pad.

I don't know.

KORG Kaos will do that pitch transformation schtuff and filtering.

Re: What 'app' is he using ?

There are two mini Kaoss pads/Kaossilators as well for quite a bit cheaper than the big ones.

Thanks . . .i am aware of the smaller ones, and the big one for that matter . . . but how do you connect your guitar to an Kaoss Pad ?

Re: What 'app' is he using ?

Its just a generic synth app, specifically on a theremin setting. Put on a lil bit of gain and hold it above the selected pickup, then have fun. It works especially well with hollow bodies.

*Edit* He also does it here. here. songs starts around 10:45, although I'd recommend watching the rest.

The mini has a 1/8" line-in, for the large one (Kaoss Pad 3 at least) you need to convert to RCA plugs. I did have a Kaoss Pad 3 for a little bit that I used for Synths and for guitar, in the end I figured looping was easier with a real looping pedal and while the filters and stutters are cool, I figured I wouldn't use them long term.

As far as the app, something like the iRig should work.

(EDIT: I didn't watch the video, just commented based in Kaoss Pad content)

I just watched it, I agree with Alpaca's post. It's some sort of synth app (could be Korg) being played next to the pickup.
