The PATB-1N (original parallel axis neck). This pickup works great and sounds like straight butter!
If going with a H/S, I would go with the Parallel axis stack. Though, I have yet to play one.
+1/2. I'd definitely go with the PATB1-Neck. Not so much the PA-STK since I've disliked it in every guitar I played it in (which is a few). Although, that was in combination with a PATB1 in the bridge. It would probably work better, output-wise with the PATB3. But really, teh PATB1-Neck would be perfect!

I used it with a Jazz neck and they worked together great. Then I got the Patb neck more for looks than anything and liked it even more. I've also used it with SSL1's and the output really matched well. Didint seem to quack much though, which seemed odd.
I meant with the middle and bridge together. I commonly use ssl-1's or similiar with humbuckers in the bridge and though its not like 2 singles you usually get a little quack. With the patb3, it sounded good with the middle but no real quack. I assume thats just a trait of the design.Interesting.
Could you elaborate more on this?
Best,
B
