I have a question for you, Why the obsecion with Tubes? is for the falic symbol?
PD: and why would any one need a tuner, you already have an ear, use it.
PD2: oh I remember, a tuner for "in midle of a show" tuning, never happened to me tough

I want to know what tipe of effects you consider indispensable in your set up or in any decent set up, like the compressor, fuzz, overdrive, chorus etc.
then put your choice of that effects.
I start:
Overdrive- because I dont trust in my amp that much
Reverb- because make me sound like I can fill the stage on my own
Chorus- you just need It
Wha Wha- a must
Delay- for the slap-back
and my like in this efects is, a Jekyll & hyde for overdrive, the holy grial for reverb, super chorus boss, Dunlop crybaby wha and a digital delay boss.
PD: this is the list of your must or Indispensable effects, I have a Phaser that I like very much but I can live without It
:lame:
Maybe you should wait until you play a show before you make such comments
Maybe you should wait until you've been here a while before you make condescending comments about forums members gear choices as well.
Tube amps sound a lot better than non-tube amps...you oughta try one out, see what the fuss is.
I mean you said you use a few pedals for distortion...every single distortion pedal you'll ever play (ever) is a small circuit board trying to reproduce the sound of a tube amp pushed into natural tube overdrive. Maybe you'd trust your amp more if it had some tubes in it...ha
and uh yeah. your ear isn't even as dependable as those $15 Korg tuners...so uh...of course you need one.
I have a question for you: Do you play the guitar?
Maybe you should wait until you play a show before you make such comments

I'll call those two comments comment 1 and comment 2....
1) Comment 1: Playing a show doesn't really mean much. I was paid for piano playing before I was truly worthy of credibility. I was paid for playing guitar before I was truly worthy of credibility tooAny fool can eventually find a gig. Now, playing a gig and being called back, that would be more difficult I think
2) There are plenty of people on here that would be affected by comments 1 and 2, so much so that no newbies could post, and several of us would probably get shut out. That's not really fair. I hear people bash Fender amps, Stratocasters, modeling amps, solid state amps, etc, you name it, so I don't think this forum (being on the internet: a place filled with such comments) is immune, unfortunately. Learn to ignore such comments. There's always someone who's going to hate your gear. Take it from someone who also needs to learn to ignore such comments: me. I ain't perfect either.
Now, back to the topic, since I didn't really answer it properly: the Blues Driver (or, since I don't own one, the Boss ME-50). I can use it to get all the way to classic rock, and if I change gear (like amp) I can use it as a volume boost. I have always liked how this pedal sounds.
1) Theres experiences that can only be understood from playing a gig. Until your on stage, can't hear yourself due to bad monitors and have a rather ugly crowd, you simply can't realize how tuning by ear will not work.
2) Theres a world of difference between not liking a piece of gear and making inappropriate comments towards someones sexual preference on this forum and I would like to thing that any and all forum brothers here know that lines and would respect one another.
Sad to see you don't share those views. What makes this forum great, and far better than so many others on the net is the since of community and respect fellow members share.
The sheer fact you'd rather stick up for some newbie making insulting comments towards one of your forum brothers is dishearting.
he uses his tuner like a whammy bar... changes open tunings on the fly and it's a real sight to see... i don't think he'd ever need a tuner after seeing him play!!!! he is just about the only one i've ever seen like that
While I'm in your position... Have you ever heard of the Fender Blues Junior? Pro Junior? Champ 600? Blackheart Little Giant and Handsome Devil 1x12 combo's? Epiphone Valve Junior? Orange Tiny Terror? And of course I havent had a tube amp, they are far out of my budget (the only ones that i ve seen was like 1000 or 1500 dollars)
That question about the guitar was simply laking any kind of fundaments and reasons, I play in stages... pub´s stages mostly and without the "hello Cleveland!" attitude, and I havent had problems with tunning (as paranoic
How does he screw it into the little threaded hole?
PD: the Fender Blues Junior? Pro Junior? Champ 600? Blackheart Little Giant and Handsome Devil 1x12 combo's? Epiphone Valve Junior? Orange Tiny Terror?.... do you live in chile?... but thanks, I always thought that the tubes werent a thing that a literature student could afford
