what are your indispesable effects/gear?

I want to know what tipe of effects you consider indispensable in your set up or in any decent set up, like the compressor, fuzz, overdrive, chorus etc.
then put your choice of that effects.
I start:
Overdrive- because I dont trust in my amp that much:ninja:
Reverb- because make me sound like I can fill the stage on my own
Chorus- you just need It
Wha Wha- a must
Delay- for the slap-back

and my like in this efects is, a Jekyll & hyde for overdrive, the holy grial for reverb, super chorus boss, Dunlop crybaby wha and a digital delay boss.

PD: this is the list of your must or Indispensable effects, I have a Phaser that I like very much but I can live without It

I must have a Wah. I also have an overdrive, chorus, phase 90 and a flanger, my delay is in a rack but footswitched on the board. I play in a cover band and have nothing on my board I don't use. I had a Uni-Vibe and a compressor but didn't use them so they had to go.....

Re: what are your indispesable effects/gear?

The only item that I MUST have between my electric guitar and my amp is a good cord. I use George L.

I have a lot of pedals (Fulltone Clyde wah wah and 69, Boss DS-1, Ibanez TS-9 and TS-808, Line 6 DL4, several Boss Chorus units, etc.) but I almost never use them.

However, as far as my acoustic guitars go, I've really been knocked out by the new Fishman Aura pedal. That pedal I never gig without. I have an undersaddle Fishman Piezo in my Taylors and with the Fishman Aura I'm getting the most acoustic and natural tone onstage that I've ever had.

I highly recommend the Fishman Aura pedals for acoustic guitar. Fishman has offered me a dealership and I'm going to start stocking them.

Re: what are your indispesable effects/gear?

I need a tube amp to get good tone, I can't work with solid state. I also need three effects : Distortion / Reverb / Wah.

Re: what are your indispesable effects/gear?

Boss CE-2 and BF-2 plus some kind of delay.

Second string includes SD-1 and TR-2. We're assuming, of course, that they're driving some sort of small clean-to-crunchy tube amp.

Re: what are your indispesable effects/gear?

If I were left with nothing but my Bogner Ecstasy, my Boss DD-20, and my guitars I would be content with that.

And my tuner pedal! I need my tuner pedal.

Re: what are your indispesable effects/gear?

I gotta have a Wah pedal, usually a phaser, and a rotary. I've downsized the rig of late, and that's what I've been going with. I started using a Mesa amp, and it cleans up much better than the Peavey's did and I'm happy with the tones there.

The Slash wah is the wah I went with this time. I still have my old crybaby, and I don't use the distortion on the slash model, but the wah sound is very expressive, and I can use it (sparingly) easily.

Re: what are your indispesable effects/gear?

My two most important effects are Reverb and Volume. That said wht I have on my board are Chorus (Boss CE2 or CH1), Delay (Boss DD3) Overdrive (I use 2 different TS9's on 2 different boards and a Marshall BB I on another) Wah-Wah (I also have a couple that I use) and a Tuner (I use a Matrix 3000 tuner).

Re: what are your indispesable effects/gear?

I have a Wizard wah/ area51 wah, Strobostomp,Fuzzhead,M.I Crunchbox,Retrosonic Chorus,DD3 and an MXR Micro amp. Next week I'm going to do a mini fest. with just my tuner and a WAH going into either my Cornford MK50 or Hellcat. I only need a good tuner really.

Re: what are your indispesable effects/gear?

The only item that I MUST several Boss Chorus units

sooooooo...... several chorus... I always why someone would need more that one pedal for the same effect, of course I understand having two or three OD or an extra Fuzz, but several choruses?
When I am not conformedd with an effect I simple change It...

But why? Oh why? explain to this simple mortal what can you Do with several choruses? :notworthy

Is for some kind of demonic ritual?:wizard:

Re: what are your indispesable effects/gear?

30 watt tube amp at least, maximum volume.

Six string electric guitar, tuned E standard or lower, tone knob on 0.

that should just about do me.

Re: what are your indispesable effects/gear?

I'd imagine that the selection of chorus pedals are just like anything else...they sound different. Also, I know Lew has a Boss CE-2 (which is mono) and a Dano Cool Cat (which is stereo)...

EP...do you really play with your tone control on 0 all the time???

Re: what are your indispesable effects/gear?

Most of the time. With the SG-X, which just has a Phat Cat in it, i keep the tone knob down for rhythm and turn it up a little bit for leads, or if i'm backin up the volume to sound cleaner, more treble usually helps with that.

I've just found that works for almost any electric guitar through almost any tube amp...crank everything up and keep the tone knob low and you'll sound pretty heavy, even with a Telecaster.

Re: what are your indispesable effects/gear?

For me, some reverb and a looping device and I can get through any gig. I realized the amp isn't so much part of my sound anymore, since on almost any amp (barring practice amps) I can get a sound that will work for me.

Re: what are your indispesable effects/gear?

Nothing is indispensable but I like to have a wah and a delay.

(With those I can maintain my pathetic fantasy that I am the 20-year-old Brian Robertson).

Re: what are your indispesable effects/gear?

My Spina modded SD-1. I would almost say it is the best gear purchase I have ever made, but that really must go to my guitarport. So far it is the only effect/pedal that has always been in the chain.

Re: what are your indispesable effects/gear?

Thats easy Holy Grail Reverb and Boss Dimension C

Re: what are your indispesable effects/gear?

Boss Tuner.

DS1 is nice, but the tuner is the only indispensable one.
