why do you prefer the ESP? im looking into getting an LP type guitar, so im just curious

the ESP Eclipse in question has a satin finish- my personal preference. i did try Gibson's Faded LP but the Eclipse, with its D-profile neck, was a winner with me. the Eclipse's body isn't as massive as the Gibson & it sports a better flame grade + a ribcage chamfer for strap-on comfort. i'm not a big fan of active pickups, but after 19 guitars, thought i go active with this one...

I've pretty much doubled my collection this year thanks to getting a job.

Picked up:

Jackson USA SLATQH-Got a great deal on it.

Charvel Journeyman-My uncle got it for me as a birthday present...mint condition misticket for $130.

Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier Solo head

Peavey cab-picked it up at the GC labor day sale for $95 out the door. Got it as a spare, but is now my main until I save up for a nicer cab.

In order to fund alot of this, I sold the following:

A Custom Custom, and that's really about it. I bought a JB and two Classic Stack Plus pickups prior to that (this year) but they got traded / broke / sold.

Are all ESP's a "D" profile neck? I'm just wondering. I like ESP stuff too, to an extent. Mine feels like it might be a "D" profile but I'm not sure.

I've bought that Washburn and Fender Hot Rod Deluxe and that mariage is simply amazig. with proper adjustment i can get cleans from sparkling crystal to minny , rude rock'n'roll cleans.
and as for overdriven tones... With this guitar I finally know ow to use volume and tone pots in the guitar :laugh2: :laugh2:
while overdriven (gain at 2 o'clock) i have to keep Bill Lawrence volume at 2 or 3 to get good AC/DC or at 1-2to get Zeppelin like tones.
And not being rich enough to buy things like you guys:bowdown: :bowdown: :bowdown: :bowdown: :bowdown: i'm very happy that i have my rig (that is more than enough for me)

Busy year for me. But I sold almost everything. I buy something, and then sell it for more a few weeks later. Anyways here we go:

Pedals (in order of purchase):
Danelectro Milkshake Chorus: Good chorus for $3.
Marshall Guv'nor: Sold regrettably - fantastic pedal, I will buy another one.
Crybaby: Fun stuff, my first wah.
Danelectro Dan-Echo: B2D's old baby.

Amps:
Crate Vintage Club 20: Sold.Great amp, I would love another one someday. Classy looks and a great sound, distorted and clean.

1972 Peavey "The Classic": Sold. Too bad I had to sell it. Had mojo like you wouldn't believe. Just a fun amp, and loud (50 pure tube watts). Tremolo system too (cool!). 4 channels too, the bright channels+my Tele=twang bliss.

2005 Blues Jr.: Sold pending payment. Good amp, exponentially better the louder it gets. Great bottom end, but I didn't like the top end too much. Good reverb, great volume, very good cleans. This is a blues amp for sure. Wish I had my Tele up here!

Guitars:
2001 Epi. Les Paul: Sold. My baby, and my friend every day for 9 months. Only thing stock is the wood now (A2P/CC). To say that I loved this guitar is a gross understatement, but finances dictated it be sold.

Early 60's Custom Liberty Guitar, and 1996 Gem Series LP Studio: No explanation needed. I've rambled enough about the two, but the Green one will never be sold and the Gibby will only be replaced by another one (if ever - this blue is one of my favorites I've ever seen).

Yeah! I'm still waiting for it to arrive, though. I'm hoping one day in the next couple weeks I'll come home from work and both the Centaur and the Celtic will have arrived on the same day. My wife and kids won't like that, though. "Mom, where's Dad?"

This '79 Hamer Sunburst came along right around New Year's Eve. While technically it didn't arrive until 1/3 I sealed the deal in '06. :13:

I got it to go with my '79 Standard. They make a nice pair huh? :banana:
