I only wanted some help from you guys (and most of you except for chenchoi or w.e the hell his name is helped me, thanks you guys) well anyways=shut up, first of all-get your facts dumbass-most Squiers cost 100USD! Second of all-Your kiddin me right? I don't play Enter Sandman at all, and if I would play it it would sound better then you playin it, and I don't have a Squier amp. Third of all-I am sometime soon moving up to a Les Paul, and fourth of all you'd be amazed the speed I have improved this year. Whats the toughest song you know? The PowerRangers theme on guitar?! Stop flaming me, I only wanted some help, you flame me, I'll flame you back-easy as that.

shut the F*uck up LiL boy , u been playing 10 months and u already wanna play big s*hit , first learn how to tune your guitar man , im shure u have to use a tuner , im not hatin nobody but common man , and also u wanna play with your $100 dollard squier strat that u bought with all the goodies strap,picks and all that s*hit, please man get some experience, u just have ten months playing , and u feelin like the big dogs , i have been playing for 5 years , i learned by myself , and after 5 years i still think i dont know lots of stuff , u say u play metallica and sabbath shut the f*uck up dude , i bet u think you play enter sandman trough your 10 watt squier amp , and sounds horrible , poor kid , why the ****yness , dont be ****y u everybody knows u take longer to learn , thats it , get yourself some les paul ,and a mesa boogie and 3 to 5 years of experience and then start talkin sh1t

wooow go easy on the boy!!! way 2 harsh. though i do agree that no-one can play balck star that fast at 10 months. iv playd 4 2 years and i couldent even touch that song. especialy since this will have been your first shred song!

So I learned all of these songs except for the *'s. You can believe it or not but believe me its not that hard (most of them). I started with one song and kept on going another level, I'm listening to Speed Metal Symphony (Cover by Steve Vai) and I'm going to see if it is really that hard. Anyways I can't find a PowerTab for it and Altitudes so can someone please get me both tabs? Thanks and btw I learned Altitudes from my teacher and UG Tabs.

i realy would like some proof!!!
if you have learned all the songs on that list (which would be very hard for most people) im almost certain that you cant play them as acuratly as on the recordings. i can play anyting ever in the world EVER, but it will sound increadably *********!
it just depends on how you define "i can play ....."

and as for speed metal symphony, its just noise!!!
vai did that to take the piss, its awfull, its just fast notes. if i wanted to here fast random notes id go on powertab and put 64th notes at 300 bpm and hit random numbers. ive done it before and by pure coinsidence it sounded almost the same as speed meatl symphony, well only if you squinted your ears!!

lol yeah your right I listened to the PowerTab and played the first minute of it it wasn't that hard, I thoughtr the beginning was extremely hard but then I saw the PowerTab and I was like are you kidding me? Oh ya and Shredme like I said you can believe it or not, and I'm trying to upload a couple of songs (your probablly not going to believe me like everyone else but w.e) but I don't know how to. I once uploaded an Eruption clip but something happened, I don't know sorry, but seriously you don't have to beleive me but I really could play thjose songs (I didn't say I learned all of those songs from beginning to end)-I play either most of the song or the hardest licks/parts of the song, I'm very technical but I don't know any theory says my teacher. Anyways now that I played almost all of those songs (and I play them pretty damn well not meaning to brag) my point is what song should I perfect? Oh ya and add No Boundries to the list. I played almost all of the song pretty well its just I'm looking for a song/lick to perfect- any suggestions out of the list I gave you in my last post w/no boundries? Thanks.

i say get them all spot on with all the pinch harmonics perfect, this is now asuming that you CAN play them, and then get some people to play them with. and screw any1 who sais instrumental songs blow. i played summer song at my first gig and it got the biggest (perhaps only!!) cheer. and my mum who was vidioing it panned round the audience and you can hear som1 say, wow that was realy good. so get a band and play all those songs, and then when your ready, write ur own. youl never be vai, its a hard thing to accept for most shreders, so its probably best to sort your tecknique and then start writing some easy listening songs that are actualy good (most unlike speed metal symphony!)

ps i dont care if u can play them or not, i just want to say "theres no point in lieing to make yourself look good, becease theres always someone who looks better" and as long as dudu and people like rid are on here i would just tell the truth and acept there advice.

pps hypotheticaly speaking who cares if u cant play at all, evry1 started off that way

lol yeah I'm just mad some peole don't beleive me. I'm a big fan of instrumentals. Almost all of the songs on the cd I showed you are instrumentals. The thing is there aren't any people here where I live that can jam with me, I can't find them-maybe in the middle school when summers over they have the band but they aren't shredders they only play you know israeli songs, but I'm practising by myself with the song I'm currently learning. So what if theres someone better out there, I'm trying to be my best and am trying to develop my skill. Anyone else please?

evry1s bin there. keep geting better as long as you can.
set yourself a goal, and STOP when you reach it
mine was 4 bars of alternate picked 32 notes at 180 bpm. and i can wap that out at any time now, but no1 wants to listen!!
if you make a nice song wis a fancy run in it thats quite low key and shy but very very hard then people who dont play guitar will go "cool song" and guitarests will go "**** me, did you hear that little bit before the chorus, here wind it back again....."

thats what i want at least.
anyway vai's a prick. look at the alien love secrets dvd. i was nearly sick to see that one of my heros was infact an utter fool! yeh that as well, stay away from silver body paint!

the earlier the boy starts shredding the better he will get when he's older. i think you're jumping on him cos you cant play worth a crap and wish you did that when you were 15. now go back to your corner and practice

guykawa.. try Baroque & roll, it's on the Attack album and i think if you want to develop a good shredding technique you should try and learn it. rising force is good for out of the blue arpregios hehe.

also, dont concentrate 100% on shreding. play rythm also so you get a good feeling on where you should 'land' your notes.

also i think baroque... would be a good song, but perhaps if you learn this one you should take it 1 step at a time. i think the main theme is a great starting place, i still use it now as it is quite hard to get it up to the 190ish bpm malmsteen dose it at whilst keeping 100%acuracy.
get the powertab, put the theme on 24bar repeat and play along at about 100 bpm. then when the 24 repeats are done you can crank the bpm up by 5 or so untill you reach as fast as you can go.
after a few weeks of general playing, go back to it and see if you can add another 10bpm or so. doing this will realy help your acuracy as oposed to trying it at full speed and missing strings. make shure you get your fingering down aswell beceause if you learn that wrong it can realy bugger up your tecknique.

It's great to give encouragement, but it is a little difficult to take seriously when you read comments that describe some of Malmsteen's, Becker's & Freidman's finest work quoted as being "not too hard" to play. Especially from a person who's been playing for such a short period of time.

Either we have a prodigy or someone who needs a dose of humility .

well, i've been told maiden stuff is way too hard, too complicated, etc, now that i have a couple of years of playing under my belt, all of their stuff is similar and you can play pretty much everything.. and if you 'specialise' into davey's solo work you can pretty much play all of them but the most timing complicated ones..
i see no diference here. oce you play the music a certain amount of time, you are adept with the techniques and are able to pull it off nicely
i agree that calling it not too hard for someone who's been playing for 10 months is not very good lol..
he starts playing, sees he cant pull it off either way and gets fed up with it, stops playing and hates everyone cos they said its not hard lol

i think that it just depends how your playing it. its hard to play along with the track at full speed but if you just played the notes of the tab reeeeal slow (which is what i think our 10monther may be doing) anything is possible, just at very very low standards.
and a note to you guykawka it might be a good idea to not say anything more of your playing skill, perhaps you could ask for help without disclosig how good you are, thats what i would do anyhoooo, saves people telling you to eat humble pie.

actualy im quite glad i discovered how to practice properly now as opesed to 10 years down the line some punk 15year old kid telling me i have awfull tecknique, that would suck!!! :laugh2:

Yes i wish i had realised it like you, I started when i was 14 and its only recently like in the last 3 weeks or so that i actually started practising, although i am noticing a Huge improvment i really wish i had realised that 2 and a half years ago and by now i'd be whailn'..Luckliy i have the determination to practise and improve myself as a player, then again at least i realised it now and not as you said 10 years down the line..
