What do you guys think of Chapman Guitars?

Re: What do you guys think of Chapman Guitars?

I was just wondering about your view on Chapman guitars, imo they are incredible value. If you've never heard of them they are Rob Chapman's brand, and each aspect is chosen by public vote.
Check each one out here, I quite fancy the CAP10.

Well his guitars are all made in the same factory as ESP and many other big companies. I love his vision of cutting out the middle man so to speak to make extremely affordable guitars, and quite honestly, they rock. Your not gonna find a better guitar for the price, not even close. A $500 Chapman is equivalent to a $2000 Gibson. I think he's an inspiration to the music industry. The CAP10 is a sick signature model. I'd go for it.

Re: What do you guys think of Chapman Guitars?

i just found out about these guitars a few days ago and I like the way they look. Sharp. I would get Rob's signature Tele

Re: What do you guys think of Chapman Guitars?

They look cool. Don't like no top-side fret markers. I don't buy guitars I haven't put my hands on, however.

Re: What do you guys think of Chapman Guitars?

Anybody selling 'em Stateside?

Sent from my iPad using a bunch of electrons, copper, and probably some fiber optical cable

Re: What do you guys think of Chapman Guitars?

I became a fan of their videos and was very interested in then chapman line. I Purchased the ML1 HOTROD late last year and was really impressed with the guitars quality and of course a big selling point was the SD pickup. For the money your getting a very fair price for a lot of higher end things. The action was set perfectly. Plays great. I was so impressed with it I placed an order for the ML1 PRO guitar from them. Cant wait to get it this week. As for where its made , its made in Inchun Korea in the same factory where some other high end guitar names are built. Would I buy another guitar from them? Yes.

Re: What do you guys think of Chapman Guitars?

How could anybody complain about the captain and chappers? :15: Anyways here's a video of the factory making the proto of a new guitar for Chapman for anyone who's interested. Great guys, and I've never heard a bad review of the guitars. And the specs are impressive.

I've never tried a Chapman, but I love Chappers & The Captain's reviews and (Br. spelling) humour...

Re: What do you guys think of Chapman Guitars?

Who is Rob Chapman or Phil X? Never heard of 'em.

J/K, I actually think the andertons videos are pretty entertaining. I've got to imagine their internet sales SPIKED after they started reviewing stuff. Same with Pro Guitar Shop.

Those Chapman guitars though, Agile/Cort by another name I think. Decent for what they are, I bet.

not agile or cort.

they're made by the same korean company that was contracted to make all the PRS SE models until VERY recently, "World Musical Instruments Ltd."

"World Musical Instruments Ltd."

^^ They're the guys who made my spalted maple Raven West neck-through superstrat (pretty faultless & gorgeous instrument by any standards). Plus it only cost me $500 or so (int'nl shipping cost included). Pretty sure the Chapman's cost at least double that....though I haven't checked.

Really? not bad at all..that's nice to know :)

My Raven West is a pretty sweet guitar. Sounds awesome....very well made/great fit & finish, played perfectly right out of the box (...though I swapped the stock pup's for a Dean/DMT set ~ Michael Angelo Batio "Hands without shadows" in the neck & a "Baker act" in the bridge) plays like butter....I really love it :)

Re: What do you guys think of Chapman Guitars?

Where has PRS moved their SE production to? I heard their SE Standards were being made in Indonesia, or is it now the entire SE line?

Been noticeing Chappie and Captain alot in the last 6 months and from what Ive seen both are good guys with great morals and ethics, with good business sense! Appreciate Chappie steppin up to the plate and building guitars for us under the $ 1,000.00 level, with respect to the idea of selling a great guitar line, The Artisans from Muscial World Instruments LTD Production PLant based in Korea, really put their hearts in building guitars and make fair trade wages, in produceing the guitar lines in their plant....So appreciated the 4ea. youtube videos CHAPPIE and Girl friend performed plant wide showing the building process , will purchase the natural ML1 Rabea " lefthand version" and paint the body Dakota Red.... Salute all those in the Chapmin guitar business adding love for you all.....and in the continueing success in building the general population a great guitar!!!!!

Not a fan of them. Variety is limited and appointments are minimal. They are built for one type guitarist in my opinion, but I leave it at that.
