I just put a c5 in a CARVIN SC90--I like it...you can EQ it to do most anything(like someone else said).

The highs aren't shrill, they're almost perfect, I like that.

As in most cases....it depends on the guitar. Once you get to know your guitar, you should be able to tell what will work. The C-5 can sound amazing in the right guitar.....for example, a dark McCarty.

--After extensively playing my CARVIN w/c5, I say this:

--The HIGHS are not SHRILL or BRITTLE, they're BEAUTIFUL....
--The LOWS(power chords & such)--are kinda SPONGY, not as clear for the CRUNCH we all love(maybe w/eq. it'll improve).

So, the LEADS are great, for Rythum--not as great...
