A friend of mine went to Las Vegas a week ago to get his tickets for the Manny Pacquiao - Erik Morales boxing match on Saturday (Sunday morning here in the Philippines).
He told me via phone that he chanced upon this store that someone named Ed Roman owns. My friend has a daughter that likes to play "strat gods" music and when she showed him that she could play Riviera Paradise and Cliffs of Dover in their entirety, he decided that it's high time for her to have a real guitar. He saw this "Perlcaster (spelling?)" that has ball-bearing tremolo that looked high class. The problem was that the attendants creeped my friend out. They allegedly had the "scratch it and you're dead" look and the store apparently had "turn your cellphones off" rules and the like. Ed Roman also was only available for conversation via appointment.
I myself am curious with the "Perlcaster" and the ball-bearing trem. What do you think? Is he better of buying through Warmoth or perhaps G&L?
Thanks in advance!
