What EVH did with all his Peavey's

I highly doubt he gave away ALL of his Peaveys. There's probably one or two stellar ones he's holding onto. Just like he probably still has a Baretta or two lying around.

And I don't think it's out of spite, that he specifically donated the old Wolfgang's either. Simply has a better tool at the current time.

Regardless of his motivations, a really awesome thing to do for an up and coming musicians.

Well I've seen him playing the Frankenstrat- either the original or the $25,000 replica- in concert with an EVH Wolfgang neck- so he could be putting some new necks on the Peaveys, if he has any favorites

you see it like i do i am sure these guitars were all great and special for a long time but now he has his own sig version of the SAME THING so why keep the peavey's anyway? he could have been a dick and sold em off on ebay for $$$$$$$$$ each! My friend plays a wolfgang and i think it is a incredible guitar just not my thing but still top notch.

by the way i dont think anyone thought of this but by eddie doin this he gave peavey major publicity for free so how much could he hate them as a company? they got free advertisment from a guitar icon that does not even use their stuff anymore

It's not exactly publicity if Peavey doesn't make them anymore. Anyone wanting a Peavey Wolfgang has to buy a used one- not making Peavey any money- and Peavey isn't making any comparable guitar- even the HP Series- these days

I think Dimebag Darrel is buried with the original.

EDIT: My bad, thats the yellow bumblebee guitar.

Dimebag's buried with the original Black and Yellow Charvel "Bumblebee". That was Dime's favorite EVH guitar.

The original Frankenstrat is kept at Home, though Fender made EVH a few replicas to take on tour- EVH even indicated the replicas sound and play better than the original

Good on EVH.

75 guitars though ? If you had a signature guitar would you want 75 of them ? I don't get it.

EVH was going through alot of prototypes, P90 equipped, 3 single coils, different body woods, whick Peavey would probably send him to try out for a new model- that's what happened with Les Paul. For all we know, since his name was on them, when Peavey didn't renew the contract, maybe he got the remaining ones. Not to mention for each tour Peavey probably made him a few more for each tour. So they just keep accumilating - but I'm betting he got the remaining stock when the contract ended.

yes this is obvious but what i was trying to say is that the peavey name had been mentioned, now i ask you if you had a company and even though the artist was no longer with you would you mind being named as a company?
This was still publicity for peavey as a company no matter which way you try to slice it.:headbang:
