right now i'm using .011-.070 in drop d+half step down. i'm starting to think it may be time for me to get lighter strings at least for the gbe strings so i can better learn to control my fingers from flying everywhere when playing anything med. to light gague.
10-46, but I'm not too convinced by how much I have to control my attack with that gauge. 10-52 wear my left hand out a bit quicker, but my right hand can do whatever it wants with them.
.10-.46. I think I might try a .10-.48 or 10.52 set sometime this summer. I've always wanted to try .10-.52 in my Tele, now THAT would be some seriously thick bottom in the bridge position.
I've switched all my guitars back to 9-42. With my amp rig string gauge has minimal affect on the thickness/tone, so I figured why stress with heavy strings. I am thinking about doing 9-46 on my short scale and Drop D tuned guitars tho...
I use DR Tite Fit 11-50, tuned to Eb. Best strings I've ever used bar none (and I've tried em all) and I'm sticking with them. Slinky enough to bend with ease, but solid enough for good tone.
