Re: What Gibson didn`t want people to see, unless you were an invitee
A Floyd on a Paul? It's not my thing but hey if people want it them, fine. I'm not much of a whammy bar guy anyway. I've seen pics on the net of this Schon Custom and there's the added feature of a heel-less neck. I don't know if it's a true neck-thru or not, but it looks pretty fun to play.
The amp looks badass to me. I love the Goldtone series but read on harmony-central that there were dependability issues, so I spent on something else. I asked an amp-tech about the Goltones and he reported that they were not very well made. Too bad as they sound wonderful. Anyway teaming up with Soldano seems like a sroke of genius. I better start digging through the car seat for the extra change and donating my plasma for dinero, methinks that amp will be expensive.
Frankly I don't mind that Gibson is trying new things. It gets a little old to see people bashing Gibson all over the internet. They came up with the Les Paul, SG, Flying V, Firebird, and my favorite, the Explorer. They would have to do something pretty terrible (nuclear, biological, or chemical) for me to lose respect for them.
