I agree that SRV's strat requires demolition. I read an article about how they reverently took it apart to see its magic in order to create a replica, and know what? It was 99% STOCK! There were some repairs done to it but the neck, pickups, body... all standard issue strat, just beat up by use. So they recreated it, even down to the repairs, then charged multiple thousands for it. I'd smash all those replicas as well.

Do you honestly think there was some kind of magical piece of hardware to be found on his Strat? SRV was a better guitarist than you or anyone else will ever be and his sound came from him no matter what guitar he had in his hands.
And as far as smashing his number 1 you would have to be an idiot because the guitar is priceless and if auctioned would have outsold the Eric Crapton Blackie by ten times and that's a conservative estimate IMO. :evil:
