What have you bought on impulse?

I recently bought a Fender American Special on impulse I already knew I wanted it... but if that doesn't count then in July I got my Epiphone Les Paul Custom wine red its amazing I saw it on a local trade site (kijiji) and bought it the next day

what did you buy on impulse doesn't have to be your latest

One drunken night i read a NGD post here, edwhuld copped an alvarez acoustic from MF for 100 with case, i bought one as well. I played it for less than three minutes, and realized i got nothin' on acoustic. This happens every couple years. The price was just so damn good. I sold it for 100, so no loss.

The Jaguar Thinline I just bought. For a long time a Jaguar and/or Jazzmaster have been on the back burner to have in the toolbox, but not a priority. The Thinline model was unique and recently discontinued, so the price suddenly dropped to almost half. So without too much introspection, I went for it. I figured even if it didn't work for me, the uniqueness of the model would pay off as a collector's item if I held on to it. But I was pleasantly surprised that this is a player as a versatile rhythm guitar.

Almost 8 years back a Digitech Bad Monkey, well not really Impulse I had gone to get a BOSS Blues Driver, bought this instead. A few years back bought a VOX AC30 Amp plug on impulse.

It worked out well enough; they're in joint place for my main player at the minute.

Just last weekend I drove into my driveway and saw that my neighbor was having a yard sale. There was a like-new Squire Strat just sitting there in her driveway, so without even giving it a thought, I forked out $60 for the guitar, two amps, a great stand, great cord, a distortion pedal, and a bunch of miscellaneous stuff. Not only didn't I give it a second thought, I didn't even give it a first thought...just grabbed it.

Awhile back I bought an Epiphone Special P-90 just to satisfy my P-90 curiosity. Hey, it was cheap and on sale.

An SH-14 custom 5 because they didn't have a TB and i wasn't able to wait. The thing sounded good except for the e strings that never could balance, was the sound you got when the pickup is too low from the strings, all the time.

A Digitech rp100 that was used a few times. I don´t tried that thing, just came to my mind the thinking "buy that thing now, you need that" when actually it wasn't any need for buying it. There is somewhere in the house full on dust without use.

I've had a number of impulse buys. Best one was my Gibson Traditional Pro Explorer. Picked it up out of curiosity, ended up taking it home.

My Ibanez S-7420 seven string Saber. Went into the store hoping to pick up a Jackson RR3 I'd seen there a couple of days before. But then I saw this thing standing there and despite never really even thinking about a seven string guitar before.. I walked out with it.

The AXL AL820 LP style guitar I just bought. I don't really care for Les Pauls...but for some reason I'd been gassing a bit for one for a while (..a beaten up Epi or low end LP copy of some sort..just a beater.) & the moment I saw this on the bay..I needed it...lol! The auction was almost over (..into the last minute with NO bids) & then, a few seconds later It was mine for it's starting price (..$140)
