What heck are PRS guitars good for anyway?

Re: What heck are PRS guitars good for anyway?

PRS guitars are for rich guys/beginners who have nothing better to do with thier money. They also make nice wall decorations. Real Players play Fender Strats, Gibson Les Pauls, Jackson, Ibanez...

Re: What heck are PRS guitars good for anyway?

I'll put my iron in the fire.

Not only do they sound "unique" (in a bad way) but they attract teenagers with mesas who play in NU-Metal bands.

Nuff said.

Re: What heck are PRS guitars good for anyway?

ok, the Joke has gone too far here. never make fun of Opeth, or i'll come over to your place and beat the crap out of you with your own lame and crappy Rickenbacker :firedevil

Re: What heck are PRS guitars good for anyway?

Man my PRS sucks! I wish I had a Walmart first act, I could have put the rest of the money into my coke addiction, or forum addiction......OR BOTH!!!

Didn't you mother teach you that stereotyping is not nice, nor is it appreciated? Besides this is a parody thread, check out Mike's definitions, or invest in a Dictionary...but since you started this.

stratcat replying to Benjy about the difference between a HH Strat and an LP said:
Really? How do you quantify sound and feel? Unfortunately, this is nothing more than another subjective argument.

We have A/B'd them at Guitar Center and no one could hear the difference plugged into a Marshall Stack.

This statement disqualifies you from making tone judgements.

stratcat referencing his post above said:
This is also why Clapton prefers to play a Fender over a Gibson!

strat's logic again said:
Clapton can afford to play any guitar he wants. He plays Fenders because quite simply, they play and sound better than Gibsons. "That's the Truth, and nothing but the Truth".

With all this great logic I can see why PRS gets such great marks in your book!

Re: What heck are PRS guitars good for anyway?

i don't like em

always sound thin & retarded to me

they say schecter is a poor man's prs, but i'd take a p90 tempest over any prs out there, unless i just planned to sell it

Everyone gets the point quite clearly. PRS Guitars are overpriced wall decorations, but also work well in your fireplace during the winter season. :drive: :smoker:

wow :eek13: :laugh2:

Have you ever played anything besides a Fender? Is it too much to conceive that 1 company does not meet every single guitar player's needs?

This is starting to sound like jealousy. :smack:

Re: What heck are PRS guitars good for anyway?

If a HH Strat sounds like a Les Paul; Does a PRS with no pickups sound like a banjo?

i dont know, but i'm not willing to try it out.

i mean.. sure, it's PRS, but nothing should be made to sound like a banjo. that's too much of a punishment

I have played the best guitars in the world including Gibson, Fender, Jackson, ESP, Martin. There is no jealousy on this end. PRS guitars are lovely looking guitars, but are overpriced, and do compare in tone to the brands I have mentioned. I am just stating the truth, and nothing but the truth.:smokin:

Let me introduce you to the concept of "irony"

Here is a clue. "CLUE" :)

This is you very far from the clue.:fingersx:

Lighten up Francis.

Re: What heck are PRS guitars good for anyway?

Dude.. You just called Opeth Nu-Metal. That's going too far.

This= Not Nu Metal.

I personally just think PRS guitars feel really funny, like the neck is too short, or the frets too thin, or the neck tapers waaay too much.

A Clue is Irrelevent on this matter. The Irony of it is, you need to have a couple of drinks and compare the actual Tone of the subject at hand.:beerchug:

Re: What heck are PRS guitars good for anyway?

A PRS never has, and never will, have the Tone of a good Les Paul.:27: :smokin: YMMV.

WHAT?!

Didn't you say that a HH strat sounds the same as a LP through a Marshall?

yeah right here...

Then wouldn't it stand to reason by said logic that a PRS sounds the same as a Les Paul? It has two buckers...PLUS mahogany and maple!

BUT honestly a PRS is not SUPPOSED to sound like a Les Paul, they are supposed to sound like a PRS.

Finally the point of this thread is satire, Jeff is hating on hating.
