What is the best value for money 2X12 cab out there today ?

Please keep in mind, i am not from the US, so i can not get killer stuff like Emperor, Port City, or even Avatar.

So, unfortunately, i am stuck with the usual suspects, Marshall, Laney, Blackstar, Bugera, Fender, Peavey, Vox, and, and, and.

I might even replace the stock speakers some time down the line, if i feel i do not gell with the OE-drivers.
So, i s'pose, right now, i am thinking more about good sturdy build quality and the cab's own sonic attributes (without the speakers)
...some cabs sound sh!tty no matter what speakers go in them. I do not want tone of those

That new EVH cab with g12h30 70th annis looks like a good deal.

Jet City cabs are rock solid. I don't much care for the speakers they come with but the build quality is insanely good for the price.

for oversized cabs you cant beat orange, I want to get the open back 212 and convert to closed back to save weight

but, even better sounding is an orange 412

they wont ship to south africa?

+1. JCA 2x12 is awesome, especially for the price. I like Celestion or WGS speakers better than the Eminence ones that come in JCA cabs, but man those are still great cabs for not much money.

See if you can find a Peavey MC212 used. They're over sized vertical cabs, come loaded with Celestion G12K-85 speakers, the top back panel is removable, and it has either stereo 16 ohm inputs, or one mono 8 ohm input. Good stuff for around $250.

I went homemade. I got a great deal on a 2x12 car audio sub box. I had twelves left over from my speaker upgrade to my Fender so I loaded it up with the Fender speakers. I added handles, casters, grills and the Fender logo and here she is. The cab sounds great and is a fun ext. cab or main cab if I don't want to drag around a 4x12 cab.

If lopoline ship to your location they are fairly cheap. Maybe not as good as Orange and ENGL but well priced.

Some dude here was giving away a free Carvin MTS 3200 to whoever bought his V30-loaded 2x12 for 250.... or maybe it was the other way around. Lol.

But, yeah - THAT KIND OF DEAL. Trading or buying amps, you can easily get $100 or even free brandname 2x12s or even 4x12s. Got a free Marshall 1960A like that for simply shipping the TSL it came with on to a buyer out of the country. Then, since it was a POS like all gt75 loaded cabs, but a popular one, I traded it for the first offer of ridiculous but pricey stuff in trade (Marshall Haze - JUNK, plus Schecter Hellraiser FR - silly but st00pid expensive korean superstrat w/EMGs), and traded the Haze to a GC for a Carvin cabful of 4 vintage Rola 12-65s....

...free USA cab w/ expensive UK speakers, free Schecter metal kiddie guit w/ all the silly bells and whistles. AVATAR WHO????

easy , traynor DHX212

2 greenbacks angled at each other for increased low end and harsh highs cut.

Sounds monstrous with fuzz and a good plexi style head. downside is its only a 50 watt cab
