WHAT IS YOUR EVERYDAY GO TO GUITAR

I mainly played Strat style guitars the 28 years I gigged.

I’ve been retired 2 years now and my taste has changed a bit.

I lately been favoring thicker creamier guitar tones.

I’’d been playing my Gibson LP’s for a while, but lately I’ve been playing my ‘09 PRS DGT almost exclusively.

It’s an amazing sounding guitar that covers a lot of tones very well.

Hi Christopher, I'm tragically underutilizing the Freeway switch, all it's currently doing is series/parallel between the 2 pups, mostly as a science experiment...

I rotate, so it really depends on where I am, what I'm playing for, and my mood. Right now:

Right behind my "Studio Center" (AKA this desk, Compuetr, and and my POD Go)

The Dean 5 String Sledgehammer Natural bass

Over by the amps/pedals wall

1979 The Paul

And by my work desk in my work office

Squire Malmsteen Project - I really need to get on scalloping the neck

And in the nearby rack behind the bass: 2017 Green Les Paul Classic, 2002 Shoreline Lodestar Strat, and my Samick/Valley Arts Tele

Wow that Dean is gorgeous. Is the MM pickup in the "sweet spot"?

I have no idea. I'm not that much of a Bass player. If by Sweet spot you mean "for a Bass I paid 100 dollars for and have gigged multiple times" then yeah...

Sledgehammer is a bit of a rare bird. I got it from a Bass player who extracted the electronics and added the Aguilar passive.

Lately it's been this PRS CE22. Has the long tenon bolt on neck and feels as lively as most set-neck guitars.
It's been on the road so it has scratches & dings already and I don't need to worry about keeping it pristine.
About five years ago I replaced the stock pickups with the PRS '1985' reissue set.
That brought its voicing right in line with my longtime favorite, an '87 that I don't gig anymore.

IMG_0242.jpg This LP, lots of great sounds with the Brobucker/ WLH neck and page multiswitching. It’s been with me a fair few years and is like an old pair of jeans.

Lately it's been my Warmoth Strat HSS since getting the new neck on it. Plays like a dream. Loving the Wolfgang profile. I don't have a current pic of it.

usually its what ever is the newest on that sits beside the desk
right now that is an IYV headless Fan Fret that is a dream to play

when it goes back on the wall, it could be any one of the others
or most likely, the next new one

I have a LP Classic beside my desk, but I still have trouble bonding with LPs. I usually grab the Frankie Relic (awesome guitar after a setup) or one of the Ibanez 520s or the 7620 in the rack. If I'm in a John Denver mood I'll grab my Seagull CW Mini Jumbo, awesome guitar. I guess there's not one specific daily driver.
