i was at guitar center today, and i think i saw my next guitar. its not really flashy but its a reddish pink lp witha floyd. its really thin for an lp, like thinner than a strat. its really weird. it looked like a gibson but ive never seen one like it before. any idea what it was? i was going to try it out, but goddamn every guitar with a floyd at gc is never in tune! :damnit:

Re: what kinda les paul is this?

maybe an ESP or LTD... i dunno, theyre the only ppl i know of with FRs on a LP

and i agree! the FRs r nvr in tune... they do it on purpose... lol

Was it a gibson? It could have been a nighthawk then, they came with floyds, I have one, non-floyd. Great guitars. Discontinued years ago

Some 80's Les Pauls came stock with Kahlers.

There was also a thin LP with active circuitry that I think also came with some sort of trem like that.

Re: what kinda les paul is this?

my guess it was one of the ESP/LTD EC series. they came in a red/pinkish color with a floyd.

if they still have it in january, and if i like the sound, im going to buy it.

Re: what kinda les paul is this?

they pop up on ebay pretty often so you shouldnt have a problem finding 1

Re: what kinda les paul is this?

Those were neat guitars. I came VERY close to buying one.

Back when Gibson really was losin ground to SuperStrat mania..they had all kinds of "weird" stuff...before "vintage" came back in vogue

Anyone remember the glue in neck SuperStrat type guitars they made back in the late 80s/early 90's? those were excellent instruments as well, IIRC
