Here's two DiMarzio sets I'd consider in a Wolfgang.
Air Zone/Air Norton
PAF Pro/PAF Pro
Can't go wrong with either set. Naturally, the AZ/AN set is a bit less PAF-ish but man, does that set sound killer in a basswood body/maple cap guitar.
Woah, why? I wasn't aware that we couldn't have opinions here? There have been many discussions here about duncans and other pickups, I'm in no way hating DiMarzios, in fact I usually prefer their neck pickups. But as in discussion before (I think it was the duncanvsdimarziovsemg thread) most people talked baout how Dimarzio has a specific tone because of the "air technology and other factors. Dimarzios have been constantly talked about as experimental pickups. I wasn't "disrespecting" dimarzio and being a duncan fanboy.
wht about the wolfgang koren model? are they the same pups as the americans? dont think these sound that great. my invader blowing it away on my kramer with a rosewood neck. Maybe I dont care for the maple necks, rosewood seems smoother maybe??
jason, sorry about the bluntness, i just don't think blanket statements help anyone, regardless of this thread or that thread's consensus. no disrespect intended
i'd try the air zone in the bridge since the spider has some top end sizzle that could stand to be dialed down, or if you're feeling experimental, a Virtual PAF neck model in the bridge. awesome.
