What was the last pedal purchase you were totally satisfied with?

Re: What was the last pedal purchase you were totally satisfied with?

Way Huge Overrated Special. Ltd run of 1000.

It's the only new pedal I've ever bought that sounded great and doubled in collector value a week after the purchase.

Well....my gold Klon Centaur increased 10X, but it took 20 years.

Wampler Pinnacle Std., amazingly clear and transparent, extremely versatile; definitely not a one-trick pony even if it is advertised almost solely as an EVH sort of drive.

Catalinbread Topanga. It's a digital simulation of a 1960's Fender outboard tube-driven spring reverb unit, and it's really. ****ing. Good.

Easy. My AMT Japanese Girl Wah. I'm not even a "wah" kinda guy, but this thing rocks. I never used to use one. Now I use it constantly. It's that good.

Edit: I hope to add my GuitarGadgets KlonKlone to that short list, if I ever find the time to put it in a housing.

Re: What was the last pedal purchase you were totally satisfied with?

The SD Shape Shifter Mk.II is everything I've ever wanted in a Tremolo pedal. It's about as perfect as a trem pedal can get, for me anyways.

My Crybaby 535Q has not left my board since I bought it 12 years ago.

My Korg Pitchblack tuner pedal was a big improvement over my TU2 - don't see that going anywhere anytime soon.

Everything else can vary just based on the sound I need - like, I'm not at all dissatisfied with my OCD, I just like my BB Preamp better for what I'm doing at the moment.

Re: What was the last pedal purchase you were totally satisfied with?

My last pedal purchase was a Boss DD-500. I bought it because I didn't really have much to "experiment" with on my rig and thought having tap tempo back along with a variety of different delay settings would inspire me to get out of my usual playing box. I loved that this is one of the first Boss pedals to come stock with a true bypass option which makes a difference to a guy like me with dedicated buffers already on his board. I like it a lot so far! The analog simulation isn't as rich as my Maxon, but it does so many quality sounds I've decided to sell the Maxon. The depth of the settings is a little overwhelming, but I'm slowly sifting through a few routine patches. I'm infinitely more satisfied with it than I was with the Eventide Timefactor. That was a similar idea, but, unfortunately, that tone fell flat for me. Boss hit a home room with this one though.

Hello. I'm new to this Forum, and I'm not basing my answer on this forum. I recently bought the SD Vapor Trail, and it's an amazing pedal. I was looking for a quality delay, and it has a lot of extras. The variety of sounds, and especially the rotating speaker are just a great bonus. I have two Roland amps, and since I play in a Coutry-Western band, I haven't really had a need to buy any pedals due to the modeling ability of my Roland.
I bought a Gibson GA-5 Re-Issue five watt amp for studio use, and it has a high-gain output and nothing else. I wanted a pedal that would offer quality delay effects, and for the rythm playing that I do the Vapor Trail gives me all that I needed for recording. They havensome good effects at the studio, but I wasn't happy with their delay, so I got the Vapor Trail, and I haven't even scratched the surface of what this pedal has to offer. I will be adding some more SD pedals, because I'm anxious to explore what SD effects have to offer. Plus, Made In The USA is getting hard to find.

Welcome to the forum.

I looked at the vapor trail and decided against it and went with the TC Flashback for the tone print feature.

Re: What was the last pedal purchase you were totally satisfied with?

My most recent purchase that really blew me away was the Behringer Tube Overdrive (TO100 I think). Very nice overdrive pedal in a plastic enclosure for $20

Re: What was the last pedal purchase you were totally satisfied with?

Dull, but the Boss DD7. I have, love and use an MXR Carbon Copy as well but overall I do prefer the Boss. In hindsight I would have bought one fully comprehensive delay unit that could take saved presets but I have built up to these two and all in all I am happy!

Special mention to the TC Dark Matter distortion... Picked it up cheap as a bit of a laugh, but it's now a mainstay on my board. I switch it on then I end up grinning like a madman!

Re: What was the last pedal purchase you were totally satisfied with?

T.C. Electronics MojoMojo Overdrive and the MXR 6 band EQ. They give me the sounds I'm looking for.

Re: What was the last pedal purchase you were totally satisfied with?

ISP Decimator G-String ii, now I forget about noise in non grounded practice place. It is that good.

Re: What was the last pedal purchase you were totally satisfied with?

The Decibel 11 Dirt Clod the thing is amazing. I can dial in any gain my heart desires. The presets are a lifesaver.

The Way Huge Overrated Special was a great find for me. I got it at normal retail price before the "limited edition" hype caught on and I love it.

I'm not sure I would recommend paying ebay prices for it...I'm sure you can find an awesome pedal that is similar. For the regular ticket price though, it is just fantastic.

Re: What was the last pedal purchase you were totally satisfied with?

My second Black Arts Toneworks Coven. The first one I bought basically kicked every other dirt pedal off of my board... so when I found one in green I didn't hesitate. I almost bought a third one a couple of weeks ago...

Re: What was the last pedal purchase you were totally satisfied with?

I just bought a bunch of pedals practically at the same time. I think they count as one purchase. I'm delighted with all of them.

Seymour Duncan Shapeshifter tremolo
Mesa Engineering Throttle Box distortion
MXR EVH-117 flanger
MXR EVH Phase 90
TC Electronic Flashback delay
TC Electronic Hall of Fame reverb
Catalinbread Topanga reverb

Re: What was the last pedal purchase you were totally satisfied with?

Does the fact that you "just buy them, never use them" heighten or reduce your delight? :scratchch

Nonsense! I have used every one of those pedals.

Re: What was the last pedal purchase you were totally satisfied with?

The Kelley blacktop fuzz is my newest box and I'm very happy with it. Haven't played a silicon fuzz I enjoyed this much!
