WHat way would you do it?

Re: WHat way would you do it?

Wait a second i think this ''might'' work.

Here are the other diagrams for reference. please look them over for me guys and let me know if this will work. I need help.
(Orange represents the clear wire coming from the shadow.)

Or is this a better idea?

Re: WHat way would you do it?

at first glance your diagram seems right, for what i understand you want the thing to work as the neck simulator diagram, but with the addition of the shadow pickup and it's active passive switch right, i can see at least one possible problem, and that's the single bucker combined position, since both the pickups you're using are buckers instead of a bucker and a single, and then the way in wich the shadow goes from bucker to single mode, i'm not so shure you can really get the thing to work on single mode with that 5 way, but my mind is a little tired man, everything else seems hella mess but right

I see what you're saying. But seeing as it would only change the 4th positions tone i didn't think it would matter too much. It might work fine?

Re: WHat way would you do it?

i think it should work fine, maybe artie can make the auto split work on 4th post

also kramersteen next project idea: "spear shaped 50 frets guitar with one of those graphtech piezo floyds" why, 'cause why not man?

Ha! i want to do a graphtech acousticphonic piezo strat but with nylon strings and obviously no pickups. :biglaugh: 22 frets but no radius and hollow. I already have all the graphtech gear minus the saddles so it will happen one day.

I just ordered some wood to attempt this ''mini pickguard''. I might go plastic or lust stain the stuff black.

Its going to give this guitar a chibson.squire like quality to it http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-1-Se...s-Marquetry-/281311684224?hash=item417f7ba680
(90mm wide is the perfect width so that going to save me 5minutes atleast. :fingersx: ''wood is air dried and seasoned for min 5 years''

Re: WHat way would you do it?

Thank ya pepi. I will contact the fartiepoo and see if he has made any progress.

basically i want this.

But with the shadow in the bridge position.

So in turn it will mean that the neck simulated sound will come from the shadow which is fully eq adjustable. So a stacked eq system. I know it can be done artie has told me its just he is hell busy atm.

I guess the humbucker/single wires on the shadow would be the series link. So its just the eq output/input which i don't know how to integrate.

So you don't want the active-passive switch? The yellow input would go to the selector switch (the top lug on the right half of the switch) and the clear output would go to the input of your volume pot. If you want a humbucker, wire the green wire to the lug right below the yellow input wire. If you want a single coil, wire the blue wire in place of the green wire. The humbucker/single coil selector just reroutes the wires to either be dual coils, or a separate single coil within the pickup's housing (like an EMG 89). I don't see a series link from the leads.

I want it like this. So just draw lines on it to make it work.

Artie is having a look too. thanks pep

here if this helps

Re: WHat way would you do it?

that strat proyect seems interesting, but jut 22 frets man?, what's going wrong with you? you're the crazy king of the 36 useless (at least for normal players) frets guitars and you plan on doing a crazy hollow strat with ghost acoustiphonic and just 22 frets with no floyd? go home kramersteen you're drunk

Re: WHat way would you do it?

i think thats the way he draw pots on diagrams, you know, mirrored or from above x-rayed (?)

Re: WHat way would you do it?

What's with the left-handed volume and tone pots? :scratchch

You could help you know. :reporter:

You cant have a floyd with nylon strings can you? i was thinking simple gotoh hardtail bridge.. Anyway thats the future don't distract me.

Fixed

Re: WHat way would you do it?

you could always try to make the nylon strings to work on a floyd, also there is a company (i dunno remeber wich cuz the strings i've tried were on a friend's guitar and didn't asked him the brand) whose plain nylon strings are like wound strings (i'm not shure if are wound with thinner nylon strings or just are made textured)

Re: WHat way would you do it?

I say direct mount, broseph.

I was going to but the cavities aren't exactly perfect, i had the chip outs which makes them look a bit messy.:yell:

I just know it's gonna sound awesome!

Drop the sarcasm you grinny greenhorn.

Truth be told i have no idea what it will sound like all i am trying to do is make it the most versatile instrument with what i have to work with.
