Hey Guys
hows it going!?!?
Is there any similar pickup that will give me the 59 tone for the NECK Position, but with more Mids and high mids, and more Output without going CUSTOM SHOP?!?!
Thank in advance.

Suhr SSV or if you want more output SSV+

Screamin Demon.

This is not all together crazy but I'd go with the Custom Hybrid myself.

Nope, it's not crazy at all. The Screamin' Demon makes a great neck pickup. I've paired it with a Demon in the bridge too and I have to say it makes for a great setup. Granted, the Demon doesn't sound like a '59, but out of the box there's no woofiness in the neck position and it has more mids, even though the tone chart may not show it well.

The only problem with the Screamin' Demon is that it doesn't have that crystalline high end or sizzle that the '59 has.

I'll testify that the Demon is a great neck pickup. Works very will with a custom in the bridge.

You mean that thin piercing high end??

The Demon has everything that the op is asking for. It has a nice sparkly high end, but because it has more mids and upper mids it seams like it may not be quite as bright as the 59....but that's a good thing.

Yes the Demon was my first thought when I read the heading. It's still my #1 choice for what he is asking for. The 59/custom hybrid is pretty good too, but the Demon just can't be beat.

I would call it a Brobucker, but I don't think you want one in the neck. Any of the suggestions above are tried and true excellent neck humbuckers.

Another vote for the Demon.

And another for the Demon. Still my favorite Duncan.

Basically you want bridge pickup in the neck. Well, pickups that I could think of are PG+, Screamin' Demon, PATB-3 and '59/Custom Hybrid. Blues himself used PATB3 in the bridge and neck. There's a video Ola using '59/Custom hybrid, in high gain setting though.

'59N's have more high end than many neck HB's (low wind, A5 magnet). If you put a hotter PU in the neck slot, you'll lose high end, even with just a small step up like a '59B. You'll get less treble from a Screamin' Demon, Full Shred (or other 10-12K bridge HB) than you have now. Might be a nice tone, but it's not going to be as bright as you want. More output usually means less high end, which is why bridge PU's are usually wound hotter and have higher output than neck PU's. the warmth is appreciated in that slot.

The only way I know of using a PU in the neck slot with more output and actually increasing high end is with a hybrid. Even though the '59/Custom is wound hot (7k + 4.2K = 11.2K) it has some single coil sound from the unbalanced coils. Anything else wound to 9-10K+ with balanced coils is going to be warmer than a '59.

I use a 10K WCR Godwood in the neck of a Gibson V. Works great.
