Yep. It has plenty of brightness, dare I say like the '59, but it is not harsh or spikey. It can be but IME, it's not. I think the output is just right and the fact that it works so good in the neck AND bridge positions is a bonus.

Yes, but are you looking for the same tones as the OP? There's a lot of great neck HB's, and we all have our favorites, but he's after something pretty specific.

HAHAHAHAH Now i got pretty served with lots of opinions, and lots of QUESTIONS too.
Right now, i can you you this : I dont like pickups with Reduced or too little mids. 5 is the threshold for me. less than that i start not feel the mids.

Ive also tried a Jazz neck, but it was also too bright for me and not enough Mids. it had the cover on it.
Ive tried a full shred neck. I liked just one thing on it, its tight. But lack of bass and mids, and that "Sand" Sound to it annoys me a bit. but its a Nice pickup. but also too bright.
Guys, keep in mind that almost all my guitars are made of Bass****tyWood. i HATE that wood. I love Mahogany. thats my favorite and i actually have 3 guitars made of mahogany : 1 Dean vendetta 4.0 that ill sell and get an epiphone les paul instead, 1 Ibanez rgt6ex, and a Jackson Dxmg neck that ill get a one piece mahogany body for it. all other ones are BASS****INGWOOD. except my fender strat, that i BELIEVE IS ALDER. pretty neutral wood, in a good way. it isnt Lacking anything. its solid , and slightly Airy sound. its a MIA fender strat though.
Out from the pickups you guys recomended, i ve tried ONLY the Screaming demon in the bridge. didnt like it, too harsh and HOt, but i could try it in the neck. no problem at all.
Theres the Whole LOtta Humbucker, Pearly Gates neck, 59/CUSTOM Hybrid, and .. Pearly Gates Plus (whats the difference here?)
I will try the duncan line first, and if i couldnt find what im looking for, ill try otehr brands. but my goal is to have 2 guitars loaded with duncan pickups. I already selected the DImebucker bridge and 59 set for one guitar, and i already have a Duncan custom-alnico II pro neck set, ill just get rid of the alnico II pro and get one of the pickups you guys recomended.
Ill try the 59 Neck this week or maybe the other one. If i like, ill keep it, but if it follows the same experience i had with the Jazz n, ALnico 2p N, full shred neck, ill tend to pre think i wont like it. But im open to try it, ill do it as soon as i get it available. Q: ))
The 59/custom Hybrid is only available for the bridge, but i may assume that, since you guys are recomending me the BACKWARDS path, ahahah i already know the answer. Q; p

I'll agree with Kojak and put an A4 mag in that 59. The A5 is scooped and can be boomy. The A4 will even out the eq spectrum and be less boomy, round off the highs just a tad and make the mids seem more present. My favorite is the 59/jazz hybrid in the neck with A4 mag. But the A4 in the 59 was more pleasing to me than stock. I like the 59 pickup and you can use a number of different mags in it with good results. The A2 in it is also good. Remember, Mags are cheap so try that first before swapping pickups. The 59 is a good pickup. Also take your guitars wood into consideration

Im getting a Pearly Gates Neck right now, and ill let you guys know what i think of it, the next in line will be the pickup we are discussing here. ill either try the demon in the neck or do any of the tips you recommended me here. THANKS GUYS

If you could get a tap on that and take it down to like 14k... I would think it would be a really nice neck hummy and would sound good split with that tap.
