im unsure. ill try the DIMEBUCKER for the third time ths weekend. not in the neck. lets see what ill think abut it.

I really love the 59 neck. But I too sometimes wish it was a little hotter and tighter to get along better with really high output humbuckers.
Has anyone tried the 59 bridge, Jazz bridge, SNS bridge, or Pearly Gates Plus in the NECK position?
I thought about the 59/Custom too, but worried it might be a little too deep and muddy in the low end.

I generally team up the overwound humbuckers with a bridge model of PAFs on the neck. Like those;

Yep! I really like it a lot. But i have some other guitars that doesnt have pgb in the neck. Just like PATB-1n. Its phenomenal neck humbucker. And i Paf Pro. Aaaa, i forget to mention Seth Lover bridge. Its perfect on the neck, too;

This custom JS has Seth Lover(b) on the neck and Dimarzio Virtual Hot PAF on the bridge. Yes, ido like 10K PAFs

I've tried the 59b in the neck = very similar to the 59n...the drawbacks of the 59 still outweigh the benefits of going to the bridge model
The Jazz b in the neck is probably my favorite neck pup = clarity, good separation, versatility, a bit extra output and mids.
I haven't tried the PG+, but the PGb in the neck is also one of my faves with a bit more bite than the Jazz b
The 59/C hybrid is also an excellent neck pup. Not muddy at all. With an A4 or an A9 it is super as well depending on how much high end and output you want.

I think I'd call it the Whole Lotta Humbucker neck model. Like a 59 with a more output and more upper mids.
