Treve,

Cool man, coming on with some levity…Welcome to the forum.

Does your meal deal come with a switch to give you series coils tapped and parallel coils when untapped? Or are we talking 26.6K of fat here…

It's called a Tom Anderson H3. but yours would have too much output.

Re: What would you like to see as a SD production pickup?

I don'tt know, more than likely every pickup tone I want you prob can already get. I would like to see a SD piezo for electircs that is if they don't already have one. I would like to see a pickup like the Distortion but a little less hot. Now I'm not up to par with after market pickups so there a things out there that I don't know about.

Re: What would you like to see as a SD production pickup?

How about a dual-coil designed specifically to do Christmas songs . . .

. . . call it the Bah-Humbucker. :laugh2:

Definitely a humbucker between the PAF types and the Customs - there is a big void in that 10-12k range!

that would be my perfect pup!

the custom was too hot for me i think

Dan Armstrong designed something like that for the old Lucite guitars that are now remade by Ampeg switchable pup 'modules' (I believe that's what they were called - think there were 3 different pups for the guitar)
Sure did, also whoever mentioned the motherbucker, that name was taken for a triple coil humbucker done by mightymite a number of years back.
I'd like single coils in which the magnets could be changed, or removed and reversed easily (humbuckers are easy enough).
Fitted into sleeves of some sort, and all single coils with shields built around them. Also hot humbuckers that have tapped coils with 6 conductor cables, done in perhaps a 1/3 ... 2/3 tap of each coil for a variety of outputs and tones. Also to expand their soapbar and mini humbucker lines a bit more.

Re: What would you like to see as a SD production pickup?

I'd LOVE for them to make stacked 1/4 lb'ers, although the 1/2 lb'er looks pretty damn cool!!!

I really wish Duncan could try to be up to par with EMG's active pups tonal variety. I think they could take the market on the active world. maybe make some active pups that look like passives?
Agreed. I find alot of SD's similair in voicing, just with a different magnet and different EQ. I havent played too many, so im not exactly one to judge, but when going from stock to SD, the difference is there. When going from SD to SD, the difference is there, but not nearly emminant. A pickup with a more drastic voicing, like for example a Dimarzio or EMG, you will instantly here and a difference between switching out pickups of there line in the same guitar, and it will be more emminent than with duncans. Just my .02 cents, dont flame me, just hit ignore, I know you guys didnt like hearing that.

Bach do you have links to the threads you had with pics of the Hybrids you made? I wasn't as brave back then and I am ready to try my first hybrid. Basically I have gone as far as taking everything off the baseplate short of removing the tape and unsoldering the coil wires from the 4 conductor wiring.

Re: What would you like to see as a SD production pickup?

*thinks* more bass pickups - active bass pickups are dominated by EMG. dont get me wrong, i have+love the 35P and 35J, but the choice would be nice, as would a price war

also, +1 for the quick connect system - new-ish EMGs come with the sockets now, theyre good for 'the undecided' amongst us heh

I got a request from a Forum Member that wants another one so I need to make one in the next couple of days... I will take new pictures and post them for you...

Re: What would you like to see as a SD production pickup?

The Jimmy Page set should be made available without having to go through the custom shop. It would eliminate the 3 month wait and offer the ability to buy them seperate or together.

Re: What would you like to see as a SD production pickup?

I want a 78 and I want A3 Tele neck pickups wound to vintage specs

Piezo bridges, buffers, preamps etc. for electric guitars.

They do sorta cover this in the Duncan-Turner Acoustic Research division. Take a look at the Solstice, Equinox and the Eclipse.

They also make the piezo pickups, but not specifically for solid-body electrics.

Re: What would you like to see as a SD production pickup?

You all want Bitchbuckers....I know you do! Haha :laugh2:

Re: What would you like to see as a SD production pickup?

Someone already said it. I'll second it.
An APS I and APS II for Strat bridge pup that is wound hotter like the custom wound Antiquity I or II or 5-2 for bridge postion.

From what I've read here the Twnagbanger sort of fits that bill, but I don't particularly want my Strat to remind me of a Tele.
