What's the difference between these floyd saddles?

Re: What's the difference between these floyd saddles?

IDK the stew macs have good reviews. I'd get the stew mac and save $$$.

Well, the first ones are genuine Schaller (made in Germany) steel replacement saddles as found on the Original Floyd Rose (OFR).

The set from Stew Mac consists of your typical die-cast zinc saddles as found on most licensed and OFR knock-off trems.

If I had an OFR, I'd definitely go for the first one if I only needed one or two saddles. If I needed a complete set or was replacing parts on a licensed trem, I'd buy the second without hesitation.

To add some food for thought....

I would without a doubt go for graph tech floyd saddles.

They are amaze-balls

that's what i have on my floyd now. unfortunately, this is causing intonation, and fine-tuning problems (specifically, some of the saddles are backed up as much as possible, even after re-locating the pivot posts rearward about 1/8 inch):

95 - length.jpg

graphtech says they can be ground down

Re: What's the difference between these floyd saddles?

Bummer....

Are they positioned in the right order as per the numbers under each saddle?

I added mine on a Schaller Floyd and they luckily fit perfectly.

Sorry dude :-(

I needed a few saddles for an old frozen up Schaller Floyd, and got the die cast Stew Mac ones- no complaints here
