yea, years of alcohol and drug abuse. the guy partied with keith moon and lived to tell about it. i thought the same the thing when i heard him talk. but the amazing thing is that his singing voice still sounds incredible.

On a side note, ratherdashing and I demoed that guitar he's playing in the Hollywood Carvin store and we both really liked it. Nice and fat but clear and spanky as well.

Every time I watch that vid, I kinda chuckle at how he sounds but I can't help thinking that I'd be fun to kick back and talk to him over a drink or something.

Its always fascinated me that so many people that speak in thick accents and broken English, sound fine when they sing. (Klaus Miene for one) Its the same as that in this case. He and Keffer speak in Drunken slur, but can sing fine.. go figure

Yeh, I agree. That's just Joe. Seems the same to me as he always was. He had a very wild ride in his life. The good thing is that he lived to tell about it. Too many of the really greats are gone now thanks to the booze and self-prescribed medicaments of creativity.

But in all fairness, as far as I know, Joe doesn't do that kinda stuff no more (at least to that extent), he learned his lesson before it was too late.

Thank goodness for that. He is one of my all time favorite guitarists. And he's a pretty good guy too.

Well, I couldn't get the Vid to play full-length for some reason.

However, Joe has sounded whacked out for years... Yet he still sings like Joe, it's just when he talks the years of abuse may show. Good news is that last I read he's off the debilitating drugs and booze. So let's hope that they pickled him and he's been preserved for some time to come!

God I love the sound of a guitar played by joe Walsh!

Such an incredible, underrated guitarist. He makes everything he plays sound perfect. And he makes it look so natural and easy...that's the sign of a real guitarist.

Long live Joe Walsh! We love you.
