Les Paul Deluxe

Les Paul Deluxe

You forgot my favorite. I'm a fan of the Les Paul Deluxe. The Deluxe, is essentially a Standard with mini humbuckers.

I liked the LP Lites from the late 80s, and the Florentines with F-holes from the mid 90's. The lighter the better..

If your going By witch model you can Afford? I voted for the studio. Cheapist way to join the LP Club. But if your talking about
a dream LP. Hmmm I'd have to vote for a 3PuP Black Beauty like
Steve Gains hade. Aslong as I'm still dreaming... throw in a
original 59' Flame top too.:D

There's a new limited edition Les Paul that looks great !

here is a sample in the best color I've ever seen on a LP , it's called Santa Fe :

if i was gonna get a new lp, it would have to be a murphy 58 ri with a big chunky neck

Custom.

Gibson Les Paul Custom.
Flamed Top with creme triple binding.
Nickel Hardware.
Seymour Duncan Jazz Neck.
Seymour Duncan JeffBeck Bridge.
18:1 ratio locking tuners.

The simplest rule with LP's is "if it has binding around the body and fretboard, and says Gibson on the headstock, it's worth buying."

The nicest Les Paul I have ever played was a Florentine semi-hollow. It's like a Custom LP which is hollow, with the "f" holes. I played it in a shop through a Fender Vibrolux Reverb. After a couple of hours, they had to kick me a few fellow admirers out of the shop because they where closing.

Tone Heaven.

Sooner or later I'll have to get one of those.

Binding is optional... Juniors don't have binding... :bigthumb:
