My main axe is whatever i have handy.... really... i use everything in my collection and for a month i'll grab a MIM Fender tele or strat and the next month i'll be using my Warmoth, My 76 Les Paul, My American Satandard Strat, my custom parts guitars, my Squier, my Epi's, my Charvel, My Jacksons (2), or my Godin Solidac..... I use them all, all the time....

But if i was playing somewhere important or Recording it would have to be either my Godin, or my Old American Standard Strat

My gibson night hawk:
It has a push pull option on the tone knob that changes the sound...
A mini bucker in the neck (nice Jazzy tone when the tone's rolled down)
A single coil which is screwd in and sounds more like a P90 (cool vocal vibe to it).
A slant humbucker where the guitar really shines- it gets me from a tele tone to a very articulate humbucker tone (not really a PAF tone to my ears... but still great tone).
Every time I play it I discover new tones...

I have a green LP Studio with a similar finish, that transparent green, and it doesn't look anywhere near as awesome as that fine speciman right there!

At the moment, my V-250 simply because it sounds exactly like what I want my sound to be like.

I've only got two, but the schecter gets more play time for sure. Actually, since the last pickup swap I've only played the sg once. They both play really well, but the schecter feels better overall, and is waaay more versatile. Plus, the fullshred does metal as good, or better than the emgs in the sg so I never feel the need to switch guitars to fit that style anymore- I can get most of the sounds I like best from just the one.

That said, I like the way the sg sits on my better while standing up and since it's replacable(read: cheap) it's usually my go-to guitar for jams and practices. If not for that I don't think there'd be a reason for me to keep it.

i divide my time b/w a 2000 les paul studio and a 2005 sg w/ p90s. the les paul was my first good guitar. it's sounds good and feels great in my hands. but the sg is so light and the p90s are so creamy it's hard to put down. so a solid black les paul and the red devil horned sg make a great pair! they feel different and sound very different.

Where did you get the SG with P90s?

I've maybe mentioned this before, but my main axe is (and has been since I got it back in '94) my customized 1994 Jackson Soloist XL. I replaced the crappy import Licensed Floyd with an OFR trem & Hipshot Trem-Setter which eliminated the intonation problems caused by dull knife edges & all the stock black hardware has been replaced w/ gold including Gotoh Schaller-style tuners.

The electronics cavity is totally shielded and contains custom electronics "designed" & installed by me with a 5-way E-model MegaSwitch & 500K push/pull tone pot and master volume pot... originally H-S-S configuration, but I've changed it to Lil' Demon Neck, Classic Stack Plus middle & JB bridge (white, black, white) w/ gold humbucker ring. I have access to the following pickup selections:

1 - Bridge Humbucker (or Muted with pulled tone)
2 (pushed tone) - Bridge Humbucker (inner coil split) + Classic Stack Plus
2 (pulled tone) - Classic Stack Plus by itself
3 - Bridge Humbucker + Neck Humbucker (outer coils split)
4 - Neck Humbucker (inner coil split) + Classic Stack Plus
5 - Neck Humbucker

When I modded the electronics in this guitar, I literally discovered a whole new side of playing the guitar. I used to stick with the bridge humbucker most of the time & occasionally switch to bridge + middle SC, but now... talk about a variety of useful tones. I don't even have to switch patches to get entirely different tones--amazing!

So my Soloist XL has been & still is my #1. Great action & neck, sweet sustain (neck-thru) and 24-fret accessibility... I've fallen in love with this guitar over the past decade. If it had a quilted maple top with an insane transparent finish, it would be perfect!

I am enjoying the differences in tone and feel that my Schecter C-1 E/A gives me, but the Jackson is still #1!

MF sells them (p90 SGs)...pretty cheap.

My Main squeeze is my 79 LP. It is solid like a rock consistent, always in tune, action is unbelievable, tone is awesome, and the neck has worn into my playing perfectly! Did I mention it's indestructable? First Electric, Best Electric, the one that's takin the big dirt nap with me someday...

i can never choose between my SG standard and my LP studio. the SG plays nice, sounds great, and is nice and light which is perfect for me to use on stage. however, my LP sounds fantastic, and the way it resonates and sustains beats the pants off the SG. if it didn't weigh nearly twice as much as the SG, i'd probably be playing it on stage all the time.

Tough one, but I'd have to say my R8 Les Paul. I love the baseball bat neck and it sounds killer with the Seths and RS Guitarworks wiring harness. I've also got a TonePros ABR1 & Lightweight TP installed.

i have a Jackson RR5. the first time i played it i fell in love with it. the tone is so amazing on it. if you ever get a chance to play one i would recommend it.

My rickenbacker is my No.1, But my 1st guitar is my No.2 just because it still kicks ass. (BC rich single pickup warlock with an EMG81 and wrap around bridge.)

Why?

Quality built, quality sound, quality feel (basically it feels and sounds like "home"

It covers most of the ground that the rest of my guitars do and then some.

The only possible draw back is that it does not have a heavy sound to it as some of other guitars (but that's not what I bought it for) - which forces you to creat heaviness from the music, attack and notes used ... more so than the tone of the amp and guitar
