Re: Whats Your Pedal Board?

BOSS TU-2 = Ibanez TS-7 = BOSS DS-1 = Dunlop Crybaby From Hell = MXR Phase 90

1. Gotta be in tune, 2. Gotta have a tubescreamer, 3. Gotta have distortion, 4. Gotta go wah wah wah, 5. Phase 90 is an awesome pedal.

i have 5 pedals because that's what my One-Spot powers.

Rock on ~ Kac

Re: Whats Your Pedal Board?

boss super chorus- couldn't live without it. quite transparent

carl martin plexitone- so versatile. 3 channel dist. awesome

boss super overdrive- boost setting just to get a lighter dist combined with
only the crunch channel of the pt

boss super phaser- i like it for clean passages, and combined with chorus, its hotel california

vox 848 clyde wah- i still haven't mastered this thing, but it adds a nice vocal quality to my leads..

Re: Whats Your Pedal Board?

Right now, its:

Fulltone Clyde Deluxe -> Keeley modded boss BD-2 -> Voodoo Lab analog chorus -> Boss DD-20 gigadelay -> Boss Tu-2

Wah's cool to have, though I don't use it much. The BD-2 covers all the ground that my KRANK doesn't, the analog chorus is nice for "swirly" effects, I gotta have delay ;), and I gotta be in tune.

I'm gonna be experementing a bit with a couple of BYOC pedals here pretty soon though, an analog chorus and a compressor. we'll see how that goes.

Re: Whats Your Pedal Board?

I've almost got my pedalboard rig figured out completely... keyword being "almost". ;)

[Front of loop] -> Pro Analog Supa Quack -> Radial Dragster -> Analogman KOT V4 -> Peterson Strobostomp ->

[FX Loop] -> Radial PB1 -> DLS Echotap -> Red Witch Pentavocal ->

There you have it, a pretty basic and powerful setup right there.

In the front of the amp I've essentially got a wah, dual overdrive and tuner. In the FX loop I've essentially got a clean boost for extra volume for solos, a dual delay and dual trem. This week the Radial stuff will be getting integrated and it looks like some good stuff. I'll finally have some quality adjustable buffers to be able to dial in some of that sparkle and dynamics that you get plugged directly into an amp. That's absolutely imperative to me now that I use 20' cables from the amp to my pedalboard and another 20' from the pedalboard to my guitar.

I have two things to invest in before I'm done with mine permanently. The first is some quality cables, I'll be going with the new Lava ELC (my speaker cable is Mulder Audio and that's the only cable that isn't going anywhere). The second is a new pedalboard. I'm probably going to get a Pumaboard Classic because I want my wiring to be completely hidden underneath the board and since the man offers lots of different options, I can get an extremely clean look from my setup and even opt for some cool cosmetic touches while I'm at it. What you see for effects will be staying long term (I'm extremely happy with my choices so I'm not messing with them anymore).

What else is there to say about it? I've tried lots of different pedals, those just happened to be the ones that do it the best for my taste in each respective section. Rather than having lots of different pedals, I've found I'm happier with condensing down on mine. When I have less to tweak, I end up spending more time playing, which is the most important thing. You also learn how to get more out of your gear if you have less pieces to worry about.

Re: Whats Your Pedal Board?

I use 3 boards depending on the amp I use.

Marshall 900: DOD TR3 thru the loop. This has delay, and chorus. Works good in the loop. Matrix 3000 Tuner, Clyde McCoy Wah, Marshall Bluesbreaker OD.

Fender Deluxe Reverb or Super Reverb: Matrix Tuner TS9 DD3 Ce2

Bogner Shiva: Matrix Tuner, TS9 Modded by John Spina, DD3 CE2. I don't use the loop on the Shiva.

Re: Whats Your Pedal Board?

Guitar -> Cable -> Amp. Take that Robert :laugh2:

I also have a channel switcher.. I'm looking for a delay tomorrow, and I may eventually get a real overdrive rather than the oversaturated boost channel on my amp.

Re: Whats Your Pedal Board?

with my large pro style rig it has, a custom made pedal for the custom made unit i have to switch heads, an A/B box to switch to a tuner, a Wah, a Boss Chorus, and the foot bottons for the amps i use.... This rig is huge to haul and i wish it had a roadie to go with it... i used it a few times in bars and rec halls and that was enough...

My main small set up that i use all the time has a Boss DS1, a Boss Line Selector, a Danoelectro Fab Tone, a Tube Screamer, a Boss Chorus or Flanger

Re: Whats Your Pedal Board?

Modified cry baby>Phase 90>Boss Flanger------------AMP

ADA MP-1 MIDI controller

Sometimes.....Univibe+Banshee

Crybaby has true bypass/vocal mod/Fasel/LED mod
MXR Phase 90 has true bypass mod

Everything sits on the floor, one of these days I'll build a case.......

Re: Whats Your Pedal Board?

i like to keep mine pretty simple. i've got:

the boss tuner ----> MXR dynacomp ----> line6 DL4.

gotta be in tune, gotta bring out the more intracate clean parts, and gotta have my delay.

Re: Whats Your Pedal Board?

TU-2 -> Maxon AF-9 -> Boss PH-3 -> Boss DD-20 (in loop)

GASing for a Verbzilla...

Re: Whats Your Pedal Board?

ISP Decimator -> Boss GE-7 EQ -> Marshall Chorus -> Boss SD-1 -> Budda Wah

In the FX Loop:
Boss HM-2 Harmonist

dsc078315ws.jpg

ISP to keep my guitar quiet live during the stops, EQ for a mid boost during harmonies/solo's, chorus for the clean parts (bought it at a car boot for like £15) SD-1 for extra saturation during solo's (my gain is set quite low) Budda wah because a crybaby just didn't cut it for me...

Harmonist for some ****ing excellent tones; you can get some proper organ like sounds if you tweek it right!

Re: Whats Your Pedal Board?

Blackstone S2V3 OD
Diamond Compressor
Analogman Sunlion Fuzz/Boost
Teese RMC-1 wah w/Foxrox retrofit
RGW Dirty Dan OD
RGW Bad Bob Boost
Donnerbox Spatial Delay

I've got a nice Diamond Halo Chorus running it all in stereo, but I'm gonna sell it as I'm not a big chorus user & I've also got a Rocktron Prophesy that can handle what few chorus moments I might have.

WAY more than I need, but it sure is fun :D

Re: Whats Your Pedal Board?

It changes a lot, but currently:

Dunlop Crybaby (heavily modded to sound really pukey)
Boss DS-1
SD Tweak Fuzz
Korg AX-100G (used only for flange, phase, or ring modulation)
Digitech DF-7 Distortion Factory
Digitech Digidelay
Behringer V-amp2 (used only for reverb)

Obviously, I'm seriously getting back into pedals. Soon, an Arion Tubulator will be joining the ranks, the V-amp will be replaced by a reverb pedal, a looping device will be added, and probably a Small Stone.

Re: Whats Your Pedal Board?

Mine is Fender strat -> sfx-03 -> fender blues junior amp. Sometimes I use my digitech bad monkey.

Re: Whats Your Pedal Board?

06' LP Custom->Fulltone Ultimate Octave->Boss Super Chorus->(in front or in loop)Line 6 Echo Park->EHX Holy Grail I'm still not sure which of these two last ones will go in front of the other, and I haven't decided on the loop yet.

I want to add a Strobostomp, analogman modded Small Stone, a Big Muff NYC, SD Pickup Booster, RMC2, and maybe a GE-7 EQ. When I get enough cash in a couple years for an orange combo, I may spend some cash on an OD to use to boost it, but for now i dont need it on my crappy SS amp. Probably a Tube Screamer and/or a Keeley modded SD-1.
