Where can I send a neck to be scalloped?

Are there any known luthiers out there that can do this? I have a USACG 1pc maple neck that I want to have scalloped.

Can anyone link me to their websites or provide some info?

Perfect, thanks guys. I emailed them to get price quotes. The $60 one sounds a little too good to be true.

Ha, checked out your band's website. Love the Mega Man boss selection profile page. :D That's crazy awesome. I love old school video game music. Zelda, Mario, FF, MM, Castlevania, etc. I grew up on that shyte brah!

I have used a guy who sold scalloping service on Ebay, together with a refret. I don't post the name, but he's in Puerto Rico so that you can recognize him. Contact me if you need the Ebay name.

First class scalloping (a real Blackmore scallop, and beautifully executed) and the lousiest fretwork I have seen in my life, and left me with a non-working nut without even offering to do a new one while he has the neck. Still, the scalloping job was great and I'd recommend him if he leaves the frets alone.

Hint: do not combine super jumbo frets and scalloping. That's like the new Olympics mountain bike competition.

I have Dunlop 6000's on my Malmsteen strat. I'd have to agree with that comment, though the advantage of larger frets is the frets could just be recrowned rather than replaced over time- I don't know how you'd be able to refret a scalloped neck

Too late :D

I should mention that I know Warmoth offers scalloping, (and I am in possession of one of their scalloped necks) but they force you to use their "Pro" construction which is a dual acting truss rod. I do not want to use the neck because it sounds like **** when I knock on it. It's going up for sale soon, so if anybody wants it, hit me up else it'll turn up on ebay.

Warmoth really likes to forces these double truss rods on you.

I can kind of understand since it keeps their warranty claims low, or at least that's what they assume it will. The Warmoth owner isn't exactly weak-willed, so I hear.

But sound reports from these necks are not encouraging.

Nice work... Its looks like a hybrid of blacksteen.

I like it.. Smooth stuff man.

Nice getup is that your pickup tester guitar?

Oh, yeah, the last pic is an early version of the test harness. Has more gizmos now and was redesigned to have lower capacitance.

Unfortunately the scalloped neck isn't really playable, the super jump frets are so wide they overhang the "valleys" and hence have snarpp edges, and there was no leveling done, with one fret really out of line. Which by now I hammered down, which only made it an out of line deformed fret.

I'm thinking about getting some pre-cut 6230 fret wire (smaller), just hammer it in and level it with a frying pan and sandpaper or whatever.

Also, Odie sold his fret files to somebody else, so I'm still stuck with no really fitting nut.
